I made it to the show.....but i got no beer.


What kind of piece do you use to be able to keep twistin the glass and your hose doesn't get twisted?
 
pretty sweet fdd'ed.. what was that thing around your neck, an airline that you use to blow into the piece or what's the deal with that? i'd love to learn something like that, but it sure looks like you blow, pun intended, through a lot of gas doing that, no??
first time i got to catch you live, will surely be back, wish it had sound to it though..
 
it's a piece of rubber hose with a swiveled fitting at the end. it allows you to keep pressure inside a round vessel while the whole thing is hot. so it doesn't collapse on itself. ;)

very cool.. i watched them blow some glass before on dirty jobs, but they did it somewhat differently than the way you were as they had a big kiln(?) that they put the piece in and took it out once it got hot enough.. i'd guess that is for more commercial places though..
 
FDD must be tryin to make that $ all business like at the desk.

As long as i can see their hands i'm okay......you know how the internet is.
