Marijuana legalization isn't looking so good there with 51% reporting only 44.7% showing in favor...

Best of luck to ya, UB!

Washington and Colorado are setting themselves apart.
I'm honestly surprised at the level of maturity they are displaying.

I haven't had this much respect for Americans in a very long time.

Right, I didn't think I'd start seeing legalization happen for at least another decade.

Dude we passed medical marijuana in WA in the 90's, that shit is decades old now. I fucking love Seattle:3828541258_7d82255092_b.jpg

In a conservative state you'd be tackled and arrested for smoking a bowl in the park.

my wife and i voted yes knowing the thing would lose. it was horribly written. the dude must have smoked 25 joints before penning it.

hope washington's legal weed doesn't flood the markets here, otherwise i may have to move to ellipticals.

one thing is for sure: with no need to regain reelection, i will now join you guys in holding obama's feet to the fire on this issue with one addendum: i won't be doing so right away.

i will be interested to hear what he has to say about re-legalization in the next few days, but he has more important things to spend his political capital on in the first few months to year of his second term.

The GOP is already barking about the budget. After 8 years of Bush and 4 years of opposing O'Bama, all of a sudden the budget is top priority.

irishman says what?

S&P affirmed Ireland’s long-term rating at BBB+ and short- term at A-2 while saying the outlook on the long-term rating was negative, indicating the company thinks there is at least a one- third chance the rating will be lowered this year or next.

we're still the barack obama to your mitt romney, economically speaking.
Not really, relative to size we're both actually doing very well, you've got huge military spending and we've huge welfare spending, per capita it's similar.

Yous just need to reduce the deficit and more vitally, pass a god damn budget!

Its not a critique of your country, but spending yourselves into abyss with no budget "road map" isn't good for the world as a whole man.

lol, you're counting on us to get our shit together. whereas, if you and every other country in the EU doesn't get their shit together, it's a mere road bump for us.

we'll do fine without a budget as long as obama continues to reduce the deficit. if he keeps up at his current pace, the deficit republicans left us will be cut in more than half by 2016, almost two thirds by 2017.

japan has proven that you can run much worse budgets for much, much longer. we are nowhere near japan, although we would be if healthcare costs kept rising like they did before obamacare (most of which is yet to kick in).
