I'm so disappointed! 4/5 males!

So, I put my plants on a 12/12 schedule about a week ago. One showed female right away and I was really excited. Today I checked them when the lights came on and every single last one of the other 4 plants are MALE! AAAARRRGh!

The one female I have isn't big enough to take any clones from, so I guess it's time to start more seeds.

I'm thinking I may just go 12/12 from seed on the next batch.

I'm so disappointed! 7 weeks pretty much down the drain. Man, this stinks.

Don't worry man it happens to the best of us.Started 12 seeds only two were female and one died but the surviving female is looking awesome.Start some more seeds and keep learning and growing.12/12 from seed isn't worth it.I tried it and you get no yield hardly.At least give it 2-3 weeks veg

I've read some really good things about 12/12 from seed, and seen some 12/12 grows with decent yields. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but I'm still going to give it a try. These babies showed their sex pretty quickly under 12/12, so I'm hoping it's a strain that will do well in 12/12 from seed. I guess we'll see! Going to pull the males (sob) today and start a new batch of seeds germinating.

My main reasoning for wanting to do 12/12 from seed is that I don't have separate areas for veg and flower, so all the plants have to be on the same light schedule. The one female I have is already 7 weeks from seed and I don't really like the idea of putting her back into veg while the new babies play catch-up. Creating a separate area is pretty much out of the question.

Well, on the plus side my single female now gets all the bulbs instead of having to share. Got about 250W of floros and CFLS trained on her now from every possible direction. I'm hoping this will encourage her to grow, but we'll see =)
