BAHAHAHAHA....What is your secret then!? I still dont think you can get 400 grams with a 400w HPS in one plant...thanks for the chuckle though...
Theres no secret mate. Anyone one can do it.
Btw I grow hydro using coco for medium in 2 x 40 litre tubs stack on top of each other
a 40 litres res. I use cannas line of nutes and additives
I veg using 400 hps for 6 weeks. No super cropping or lst.
Then flower using the same 400 watter for 10 weeks or until it's time to chop.
I only top her once when I flip to 12/12.

Ask any Aussie grower. You don't need to an expert in achieving
1 gram per watt.

P.s

Do you want a copy of my feeding chart?

Photos would be great....Oh so you weigh the whole plant....yip...i get it now! :D
Damn I thought that I was the newbie grower.
Dont tell me your still getting 1 -2 ounces a plant or if that.
Now thats worth laughing about.
Trust me bro. Experience indoor growers here can achieve
2+ pounds a plant. Ill try to find some photos from my last grow.
Did you still want a copy of my feeding chart?

Rasser, very impressive...I know very little about building leds ...but my brother is an electrician .he will build me one or 2 if I can give him a manual or something to explain what I need..any ideas? he does not grow or smoke but agreed to build me one and show me how...any good sites or books I should buy or download for him?
Hi, This site's LED section and it's many DIY thread would be a good place to start,
I recollect Jubiare's thread has some LED composition and driver calculation, MajorCoco and Gastankers threads focus on big ass chips,
and make it very easy with two wires and four screws basically.

But it's not totally necessary to do DIY, a little knowledge of electricity goes a long way, when it comes to repairing
the current grow light panels, and it is off course important to select one witch has good serviceability, modularity from the start.

But we all had to buy our first panels to lean whats inside and how they work, and what not to buy next time.

what thread? the teaser thread? you may want to give us some names and it will be back on track ... I can see from some of your previous post that you own lots of blackstar, so we know blackstar, what other companies did you have problems with?

in no particular order....stealth, advanced, blackstar, solarstorm. The only light i havent had issues with is the mag 357(original model.) Wonka
can we please get my thread back on track??

How about some specifics? What models were the units you and your friends had issues with and what were the exact issues? What year were they purchased? I've purchased 5 lights from advanced over the past two years and not one problem. The other two lights I bought, brands werent mentioned in your post, and no issues there either. Might not be bad karma for you guys, but definitely bad luck...

The blackstars are the 900s and are only 2 months old. Stealths sg602s are like the bs900, he's gotten 2 lights replaced in the last 3 months. The advanced ds400s were purchased last January. The extremes 360s were purchased last august. All of our rooms run in the mid 80s --which shouldnt be an issue but i cant figure anything else out at this point. Between all of us we have 20 led lights in use. So i figured there would be some issues, but not to this extent.

I listed them earlier in the thread, so its not a teaser thread as you say. I am not trying to bash any of these companies is why i was reluctant to say any brand names. I know how the internet can be. Again, in no particular order advanced ds400, bs900, sg602, extreme 360 and california solarstorm.

Most Aussie growers hit 2 1/4 lbs per 1kW? Wow... and I thought we had decent growers in California. Possible but very very improbably here.

Model-T's were pretty awesome, still see a few around ever now and then and they are still inspiring. Can't wait for the BMW's and Aprilla RSV4 to come out.

He probably vegged for 4 or 5 months if he really pulled that much and probably doing pure sativas. Thats the only way that would be possible. Thats why outdoor produces so much. Very long veg time.
