Well i was in CA for 10 years. All i can say it is the worst place on earth! The girls, the police, the whole 9-yard it is a stupid stuck up, ass place!I think TEX people are much better then CA .
I should of stay at the MOTEL 6 ?? LOL.........................................
I grew up in the midwest and lived in norcal and Oregon before ending up in socal....this place is everything you say it is, but the whole state is not like this. It is a nice friendly chill place.

I have also been through Texas a few times and "all my exes live in Texas" (actually only one)
Besides Austin, (oh and a good VW dude in Amarillo) I would not mind giving it back, along with socal.

Well lets just look at all of the states that are failing miserably from their liberal social and economic polocies:
Everyone’s hands are out for bailout money
A rehashing of the events that led up to the government bailout and its original mission would certainly have everyone focus on mortgages and banks. After all, the economic problems that the bailout sought to address were firmly rooted in the subprime and adjustable mortgage crisis and the problems wrought by derivative securities.
Now, months later, the bailout has morphed into something no one recognizes. The auto industry became a benefactor of the bailout and now the states are jumping on the gravy train.
You heard right, the states, faced with mounting budget shortfalls, are after the money that was meant to solve the mortgage crisis. The hard-up states are asking for $1 trillion over two years. That ‘T’ word keeps coming up and the cost to the U.S. balance sheet is staggering after a while.
The states are in line just behind the automakers
Five Democratic governors are asking the Obama administration for the money. How this will help the mortgage crisis is anybody’s guess. The states have a duty to their citizens to keep their checkbook balanced. The same could be said of domestic automakers, who needed to keep labor costs within a range that would allow for a reasonable profit on a competitively priced automobile.
The states asking for the bailout funds are Wisconsin, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. No doubt that Michigan and Arizona cannot be far behind with their growing financial problems. Some fiscal leadership may have been a nice alternative to more taxpayer money redirected from its original intent and an ever-growing national deficit.
Can you wrap your mind around what a trillion really is?
Originally, taxpayer money was going to bailout the financial industry, hurt by mortgage-backed assets. Next came the Detroit automakers with loan requests because of their own mismanagement, and finally we are seeing the states begin to line up. The original $700 billion bailout is going to seem like a tolerable dream at some point soon.
With unemployment projected to reach nearly 10% by next year, some targeted bailout money needs to stop the bleeding. This, combined with funds to get the credit markets flowing again, will benefit Americans and small business owners the most. If we are to have a bailout, it should get to the very core of your problems and prevent additional misery.
Throwing money at those who simply made fiscal mistakes is the wrong direction for a bailout; especially when taxpayer dollars are a stake.
The conservative states are the ones holding this country together. You can see all of the mistakes made by progressives, and where this country will be heading if you do not fight for the constitution.

Wait, so you are saying that the failure has happened since the elections? cuz until very recently we have had a balance of red/blue that made it so unless it was attached to $$ for the Boys in Iraq...we were left hitting pot holes and crossing our fingers when crossing rivers (probably not a bad idea) The pickle that we are in is because of the Fed, banks and wall street all having fun with their gambling addiction...then spun to get the fox newsies to blame the poor and minorities for bad loans...there ruber we're glue....

Oh hell no. We beat them mexicans in a war and became our own country.

I'm not giving it up after we have had it for 173 years. :)
It's cool you can keep it...I can recommend a good fencing company:o
I drove over the Colorado river without getting within 150 miles of it yesterday....The California Aquatheft...poor Sea of Cortez....anyhow I wish we could share some of our river water with Texas....that sucks ass....HAARP deflecting storms and changing weather patterns????California in the 50's???

What I am saying is, the progressive policies certain states have had for the past few decades are the reasons they are bankrupt. California, for example spends BILLIONS each year on illegal immagrants, welfare, and different social policies. They have the highest tax rates in the country, yet we still can't manage to get our priorities right.

Illegal immigration is a federal issue that El Shrub refused to address because he needed the Latino vote. California has long been under a Republican Governor. What is California supposed to do...millions of little brown faces selling trinkets on street corners along your morning commute...or educate the new citizens? Careful how you answer. Again Immigration is a federal deal...And California is forced to vote if they need to blow their nose...the taxes never go up, we vote in bond measures which becomes debt and deficit.

Wow. Have you ever been to Texas? Are you under the assumption that we are all a bunch of racist pricks? Maybe you should visit sometime. You can explain to my black kids how their white daddy is a racist.
As for this idiot that calls himself BIGTEXASMAN, I suspect that 1. He's not that big, 2. He's not from Texas, and 3. He's not a man.
wow think your the only person with an inter racial family? your run by a bunch of racest pricks

Got to throw this out there.Rich white right wing people who pop pills and drink their whiskey hate potheads as much as they hate minorities. If you smoke pot or don't look like a mindless monkey with out your own style and vote right you have been fooled big time into caring about a people who don't care about you and would not want you around their clubs and private bars.To the right pot is dope and as evil as coke.

Actually it is more evil than coke to them...but turn that coke into some shitty crack and now it is not longer rich and white and deserves more jail time.

Like I keep saying, pothead republicans make as much sense as the gay log cabin republicans...not to mention out of work union and farm workers in Kansas...and anyone outside of the top tax bracket.

Voting against your best interest...And don't give me any shit about money being spent on this or that, when a freaking trillion dollars has been spent in 6 lousy years on a foreign war. Tens of millions of dollars handed over to Pakistan of all places, for nothing...another trillion being handed out to the people and businesses that need it the least, to be paid back by those who do not get out of paying taxes by making charitable contributions.

But even a discussion of spending tax dollars in the US for the benefit of US citizens brings out the freaking nuts, shouting whatever they have been told to regardless of how ridiculous it sounds...Cries of "SOCIALISM!" if tax dollars are not being spent on bombs or bankers...WTF is wrong with you people?

Do I think we should have big gov and lots of social programs. Absolutely not, I want the gov to stay the f out of my life and I will do the same respectively...But this is not reality. Reality is that large corporations are the recipients of huge tax breaks and incentives, subsidies, which by the way is purely corporate welfare...these recipients of corporate welfare also have their thumbs up the asses of senior members of congress on both sides of the aisle and essentially direct whatever favorable legislation they need to increase profits...all the while completely hijacking our system of checks and balances.

And on top of all that, they use fear, religion, and out right propaganda to get the brainless masses to shout the ridiculous mantra that has been spoon fed by big bizz masquerading as grassroots coalitions of concerned voters....Bullshit!

So if tax dollars are going to be totally thrown away, into the silk lined purses of the already filthy rich...well by damn it would be nice to not have the entire country HAVE to ignore the massive #'s of citizens who do not live like they are in the greatest country in the world. But instead we let our cities crumble in poverty and just move further out into the burbs, converting the now tree farm forests to cheap ass huge houses within spitting distance of each other and paint the whole damn place beige to further numb the soul.

How can a network that broadcasts such "anti-family-values" shows as Family guy, the simpsons , and american dad...and in my market now shows South Park re-runs at 5pm!!!!!!...have a news division which is so right of sane conservatives? It is almost like it is the media further discrediting the republican party. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with any of the aforementioned shows as they all fall under free speech...except for if my children were younger the 5pm south park is not cool!

There should be consequences for doing drugs. People are killing themselves on heroin, meth, whatever, strung out in the streets, and expect people to feel sympathy. Why should we take care of somebody that doesn't take care of themselves? They don't contribute to society, yet we spend billions on them each year.

And how close minded are you. Do you honestly believe because someone was raised a certain way, or has certain values, that they fall into a party. You can come from any background, and find values in each party that you admire. The Republican party is not against homosexuals, they are against the destruction of marriage. There are many homosexuals who have conservative values, and who don't feel represented by the Dems.

President Barack Obama has repeatedly claimed that his budget would cut the deficit by half by the end of his term. But as Heritage analyst Brian Riedl has pointed out, given that Obama has already helped quadruple the deficit with his stimulus package, pledging to halve it by 2013 is hardly ambitious. The Washington Post has a great graphic which helps put President Obama’s budget deficits in context of President Bush’s.
What’s driving Obama’s unprecedented massive deficits? Spending. Riedl details:
How is this healthcare bill not socialism? And if it was so great, why don't members of Congress, or the Senate, or the President fall into the healthcare program? Are they better than us? They are taking money from the top 5%, and distributing it amongst the rest of the country. That is redistribution of wealth, which is SOCIALISM. In a country where you have the rights and privelidges to make a decent living, and then demonizing that to where somehow because they were succesful, they cheated is immature and selfish. If you work hard in this country you will be rewarded, and those people who don't do anything with their lives, IT'S ON YOU. I'll respond to the rest of the post shortly.

So we should spend money on people to incarcerate them but we should not spend money on there health?

Wow the heritage foundation and the washington post had something negative to say about Obama...breaking news.

Republicans do not care about marriage and family values, that is just what they want everyone to think. They are fake. There fight against gay peoples right to play house is based out of intolerance at best and at times out right hate. This is frosted over with religious rhetoric and "family values" what a bunch of sh!t.

Your parroted message of the protestant work ethic does work for some...however, as much as the successful would like to believe that they got that way out of shear perseverance, most of the time circumstances, and good fortune are equal factors...often outright devious and underhanded business practices which take advantage of the vulnerable...stepping up by stepping on.

Do you really think that poor people do not work hard? You are either young and not yet fledged or have been fortunate. I am sure the "top 5%" appreciate your hard work.

Hey wait a minute....Any taxation is a redistribution of wealth (or poverty).

Think outside the Fox.

Oh and to answer the question about congress and their coverage...of course it is much better...should they get better care? No. Is crappy healthcare that you have to wait in huge lines for horrible care, better than no care at all? Absofreakinlutely!

What we really need to do is to put up a fence along the Canadian boarder to stop all those damn hinge headed cannuks from flooding over our boarders to spend perfectly good loons on our kickass healthcare...Damn socialists! They took our Docs!!!
