i guess i will give the consmer report on this..... this is the best hood i have seen. the day star is comparible but for the price and the weight (light mover) this hood is unstopable, bat wing design, comes with glass insert, only downside is it comes with a raw socket so you will have o have a cord or purcase one to lead to your ballast. anyway this is one of the best purchases i have made. 129.99 for the six inch ad only 10 bucks more for the 8inch
