I have access to 50 watt cobb chips. See pic. I am looking for expert guidance on wiring,power supply-source and mounting methods.Any personal experience or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Those arent really a true cob. And arent very efficient. Those take 120v straight to the chip no driver. I wouldnt waste money on those honestly. I can almost bet you if it pulls 50 watts with 120v it will get super hot. How much is it?

Thanks. I'll scrape the idea of using those. How about some guidance on a better way to go.

Could you enlighten my on quality cob voltage requirements and power sources. I am determined to build my own fixture what do you suggest to use?
