Looking back over my first post I realize I have left out a couple things. This first started when using the fox farm (non hydro nutes). On the sage it started with the new tips not opening and growing. On the sour diesel and tangerine dream it started as a metalic sheen on the leaves. Then turned into brown spots on all of them, then blackish (dead) spots on a few leafs followed by those leaves going necrotic.
I changed to GH nutes on Sunday (5-1-11) At 660ppm. I use regular tap water, with a ppm of 42-50. I have been changing my rez every 7-8 days. Even though they have been using up a lot of the ppm's my PH hasn't fluctuated very much at all 5.7-5.9, but as soon as I add nutes back it goes back down. So now it's not going over 5.9. I have raised my ppm to 880 now, and the tangerine dream seems to be doing great The sour diesel is still having a little issue and the sage is still having leaves going necrotic.
My light is 18inches above my tallest plant. Room temp 72-78 and the temp directly at the plants tops is never more then 1 degree more then the rooms temps. It is still cold outside in this northern climate so temp's have been easy to maintain.
I do plan to install one of my 55 gal (food grade) drums down in the basement to maintain a cool rez throughout the summer but haven't had an issue with the temps in it upstairs yet.
