This looks like magnesium or manganese deficiency, in relation to the brown spots.
The lower leaves turning yellow could be from a lack of nitrogen.
Basically, your plants are either lacking nutrients, or are locking-out nutrients (if your PH is off). In hydro, PH needs to be from 5.8-6.2. Do not go outside this range.

Actually, 5.6 is the bottom of the range and better for veg and early flower.
Not really. Ac acceptable range for hydro is 5.5-6.5, because most nutrients are easily absorbed within that range. Personally, I keep mine at 5.8-9, but anything within the range is fine.

I understand what you are saying but plants like more of certain elements at different stages. By tailoring the pH to the stage it allows the plant to absorb more of what it needs when it needs it.
