Increasing thc potency

I heard from someone that once the plant is ready to harvest, you can place the root system into boiling water for around 15 seconds and it like, shocks the THC into the bud and makes it more potent. Does anyone know if this is true?

I've heard of this method.. But it wasn't for thc production they claimed it was for resin if i recall correctly. I wouldn't do it personally, I actually like my plants, this sounds like torture

I stand corrected it is for resin production, you're right.
I found that being passive aggressive with it has a similar affect if you're uncomfortable with calling your plant a twat stalk. Just be all like "no no, its fine, I love it when your this small and not frosty"

I think it's bunk advice. Just like hanging it upside down to get more resin in the buds.

Here are the keys:

Good genetics
Stable grow
Harvesting at the right time
Drying and curing properly

If you are growing weak/low potency mmj then you are wasting your time to begin with and should find a higher potency strain to grow.

In all seriousness igbore us, were just bored, this guy is giving you some sound advice. Getting these perfected will bring far far more benefits than some random quackery.

There's no one thing you can do or add externally can increase potency except to keep your plants super healthy...
Plants know what to do; humans don't have to do anything to get the most out of them except provide what they need in their mix or medium...potency is all about keeping them healthy, picking them when they are RIPE and not before that, choosing great strains to begin with, and allowing time for proper dry/cure...somebody said this already but it simply cannot be stressed enough
