Purty healthy ladies off to a great start Hy! Are you handling the temps okay with this setup?

Yeah. It has been pretty cold. Its been in the 50's every day and high 30's to mid 40's at night outside. I bring in fresh air from outside. I had to run the heater a few days. The lights warmed it up just enough last couple days. Last couple nights it was in the 50's outside. Its in the mid 70's right now.

Now that is a setup. The NL OG's are perfect to be under/side lighted.
yep. They all love the lighting

Out of curiousity....why didn't you go with CMH?
less watts and better coverage. They put out less heat than a t5. I've always wanted to try induction. I see such good yields with it from other people. I was turned off by the low par numbers. They do have even ppf numbers over the canopy though. I like the pontoons. With that it provides a very good spectrum. I was going to grab an led IR flood light. Now I don't have too. I can already tell that these are going to yield pretty good.

Edit:

No bulb change for a decade too

I seriously dislike your avatar.........prefer the crappy bat ones;-)

That a serious induction setup Hyroot! I'm expecting "splifferous" results from it TBH:weed:

Be safe and good luck.......oh and welcome to the "no bulb changes for a decade" club.

I agree his avatar sucks... Don't judge this round. It was under t5 for the first 12 days. I already see a big difference in bud size this early on. They got pretty big over the last few days. I expect a much better quality and bigger yield this round. Next round I will have some trees big ol trees. I have 2 mainliners in veg , one topped ub style and the rest will be trees. I already super cropped all of them to get them to branch out.

The lights are actually pretty close too. Im doing probably an 8 x 5 now. I can easily spread the lights out more. I will next round with more plants

Hytube channel....I can see it coming...in Psu's face that is. Good job keeping this light under wraps hyroot. Lighting mentor my ass. If only there was someone else dumb enough to take me under their wing. I'll one up you with my Lembardy trophy I polished today. It'll make its vertical debut Monday.

Nice job on the video Hy! @ 4:00 in I really liked how the you got the lights to rock back and forth. I brought my GF in and told her this is exactly what an alien landing looks like. She completely gets it now. Thanks to your help, Chaz is getting, at the very least, a reach around tonight.

Nice video....................cool to see those 730nm running, are you doing a 13/11 schedule??

Why mimic the sunset and what does it do? Doesn't look like you need much either. Are those Xmas lights. Just post up a link if you can. Do they come on for sunrise also? Think I seen CM use that technique.

it sends the plant into its phytochrome state faster as if it were outside. Plants need 10 hours in phytochrome state. In late summer and fall with the long 14 hour days, When the sun sets it puts out 730nm IR far red. Initiating flower response. Indoor gardens lack the IR wave lengths. So w/out IR, it takes plants 2 hours to go into the phytochrome state. the lighting schedule has to be 12/12. Utilizing the IR after lights out initiates the phytochrome state to occur within 30 min. So lights can be on longer like the longer days in late summer.

I think it would have better results if the 730nm led's would run for 10 min, turning on 5 min before the lights turn off.

CM got the idea from Inda Gro when Splifferous first got the pontoons last year. Spliff was banned from this site over bullshit. You can find his videos on youtube under the same name. CM bought the IR floodlight light from Inda gro's sister company or its their friends company or what ever. Grow Light Source, CM's is 10 watt led floodlight so you are correct with that they don't need much.

Rrog uses an incandescent IR light and times it for sunrise as well as sunset.

The pontoons only do sunset. They run on a lithium battery that charges while the lights are on. It has enough juice to last 5 minutes.

The main lamp does emit a 730 bandwidth during lights on. The 730 diodes at lights off must be the only wavelength the plant see's or it remains in a Pr state or photosynthetically active state.

When the sun rises and sets, the angle of the light waves change. This change in angle actually changes the wavelength of the light (color, spectrum); is better known as Refraction. During these periods, the spectrum that reach the plant are IR and near IR which we cannot see. These areas of light are known to stimulate transcription of genes within plants. There is actually a lot of scientific research in this area, however, not in the cannabis genus.

So for me it sounds good and all, but seeing how the pontoons are 795 a piece wouldnt it be fine to buy a couple of 36 watt red led flood light bulbs for 30 bucks a piece.
