Inddor quality vs outdoor.

Does growing outdoor produce the same quality of bud as growing indoor? If I use the exact same strain and use soil indoors under lights.

Same strain grow properly indoors and properly outdoors. Outdoor grow will be better weed than that grown indoors...

Remember I don't care about quantity just the quality.

hmmm well i did both last year 10 outdoor powerplant and 5 indoor power plant the yield was 10 times better outdoor but that's obvious but the smoke indoor was 10 times better quality my buds were a bit tackier with the outdoor as well. well to me i think outdoor is ace for the yield you produce but indoor is the way forward for quality mate hope that helps ya with your ? but i do think you can get outdoor grows just as good maybe better some times than indoor but thats taking good care and gettin the right light over the season

Outdoor weed done right will be more potent than indoor weed grown right. There is not a light on the market that can compete with the sun when it comes to THC,CBN,CBD and Terepine production........

The sun is the undisputed champion. If you have a climate controlled greenhouse with the clear roof...it would be on!!!!!

I find my outdoor to be more stony, but the indoor tastes better, is less harsh and looks better.

Let's rephrase the question a bit here?

Short of an absolutely perfect outdoor environment, indoor will likely bring you better buds that taste better. Outdoor typically won't be as nice to look at, but there will be 4x as much of it.

I'll agree with you on that. You don't have to try and supplement the sun. We've never been able to duplicate nature exactly. But I doubt that all things being equal (same strain, equal gardening experience, same nutes, etc), outdoor will be BETTER than indoor. Every bit as good I'll give you that. And considering the yields of outdoor, it's the clear winner.

I have seen some very strong outdoor that I would have thought was mid quality indoor if I didn't know. But to this day I have not seen any outdoor buds that match my indoor stuff or any of my other buddies stuff. Not saying its not possible, just haven't seen it in my few years of growin.

The thing about indoor is just having control over every single variable for the grow and that's what I like. I would have some outdoor going right now but not worth the risk of neighbors smelling and putting my indoor in jepordy. Once I buy my big property in lake tahoe, I plan on building a big greenhouse. Gets a lil too cold there.

Thanks I think I'll try an outdoor grow in the spring to compare. A greenhouse would be ideal. Thanks for your inputs!

Most have been correct in their posts here as there are many different ways to look at it.
Yes indoor will probably look better and possibly taste better(tasting better is not always the case). And yes a plants genetics is the final determining factor in potency. But for the most part I think you will find the buzz from outdoor weed to be more intense and last much longer than its indoor sisters. Thats why I say outdoor weed is better, that MHO......
