I hope to keep her vegging until late february/early march, then put her outside. Well, its week 3, so sex is now determined. No turning back! I hope shes a girl!

Haha, heres a story:
The plant in this pic was part of a small scale outdoor grow I did last year before I knew anything. When I say part of, i mean only the top half of a stretchy little plant. The top of it broke off so I ran back to my house and put it in a vase. I didn't have any Idea it was going to sprout roots, but it did!! After this shocking discovery, I planted it in my compost heap, and then it got thrashed by raccoons, so I re-planted it in a small part of my yard. It really took off there, started growing new leaves, and eventually flowered. I gave it no nutrients at all, and when it was ready for harvest, I trimmed about 1.5 grams off it (POTENT smoke because of all the stress.) Sad thing was I didn't even cure it, only dried it for a few days. After this I Re-vegetated it, which it is still in the process of, and now it has a few bud leaves and tiny calyxes on its lower most node. She'll probably die soon, its december...

I have thought about fimming, but I think the plant would look real weird if I FIMd it and LST'd it. Sorta lopsided. I've thought about topping it, which would encourage the second growth to all become Colas (now that it's LST'd) Who knows though. She's still so young, I wouldn't want to be snippin n choppin and bending her all over the place (yet) :bigjoint:

The branches really took off!
Any suggestions? what I could do now? I'm just planning on doing the same thing that i did with the main stalk, but with the branches. I'll bend them in different directions and have a bud bush.

I will get pics when my camera battery charges, but heres the deal. There are 3 small amber/brown spots on a few serrations of a fan leaf. Yesterday there were two, but now theres another small one. The others dont seem to be getting any bigger, though. Today there was a web on my plant, but it was not a spider mite web, it was just a string going from a leaf to the box that the plant is on. Kinda freaked me out. I'm not sure if I see small black dots on the bottom of the leaf or not, I think its just some dirt, but its really tiny. The part that concerns me is that its near the leaf vein, but there isn't any damage. Im a little freaked out, i'll keep an eye on it. a very sharp eye, and some miticide handy. I'll get pics soon. (its very minor, dont laugh!) :weed:
 
She had a good christmas and now, shes big n happy. I haven't decided whether or not to top her. I think I'll wait.

Oh and I got her a christmas present: 250w MH ballast, 250 MH lamp, and i'll make some ghetto reflector.

I tied her lowest branches down so that she'll be a more even bush. I think I might take a clone from her sometime in the future.

So....to top or not to top, I need opinions!

Also, will a regular Metal halide (not a horticultural one) grow marijuana? Kelvin temp is like 4200

Any ideas on the little spots/ fungus sort of deal?

When watering with mycorrhizae (the soluble kind) do you just water once to innoculate it? or keep watering with it?
 
Thanx for the advice, any other ideas anybody?

I found a preflower today, I can't tell yet if its female or male. Fingers crossed!!
 
New years is comin up! I have some sort of mutant branch coming out of a node where a preflower should be. Scared the hell out of me, as I thought it was a male preflower!!

This plant is really bushing out, and I think its an Afghan strain. Anyone else want to throw an opinion out there?
 
I went ahead an topped her, and now i am attempting to clone the top. I hope this will be my first successful clone, even though the top has the oldest genes, I have GH rapid rooter plugs, and a clone tray w/ humidity dome.

I also got 20 Mandala seeds from attitude seedbank, then they gave me 2 free souveniers which i am STOKED on.

The clone is doing fine, we'll see how she plays out. I just trained down the tallest 2 branches to let even more light in, I cant wait for my 250w MH bulb to come. It'll love it. i'll break out my camera and go to town.
