Indica Couch Lock Question

To gain the desired effect of couch lock with Indica plants would it be feasible to harvest not to far after the plants
are ready for harvest? Would that not mean "over ripen" the plant a bit?
And if so then obviously it is ok to let your plants over ripen just a bit to achieve the desired
effect for couch lock? Anyone know? Thanks!
