Hi everyone,

I tried a post last summer and my first solo outdoor grow and ended up losing it to what I thought was bud rot. This year has been a lot drier and I’m trying the more (not completely) natural approach.

ive attached a couple pictures of what I’m looking like so far. I’m wondering if I need to take out more fan leaves at this point or just the big ones that are blocking light from my buds. I also assume it’s too late toget Rid of some of my lower branches?

I try to rotate it every day or so to get the whole plant plenty of light. I’m currently giving it half a tablespoon of bloomterra once a week with a gallon of water. No sign of nute burn yet. Things look healthy. Wondering if I should up the nute intake though or not risk it?

I just put straight up soil in the bucket. No rocks at the bottom. The soil is nectar of the gods #3. I’m thinking I may have to put some stakes in the ground around the base of the bucket as buds develop to keep the plant upright.
Anyone have any advice or input? I am allllll ears. How does it look? Anything? Thanks to everyone in advance that’s willing to help out!

So I can just go get bone meal? Then all I have to do is put it on top of the soil and then water? It shouldn’t burn? How many times a week should I be doing this? Thanks for the advice!

Here are some pictures from just now. My new main concern (because I’m paranoid and scarred from last season) is the yellowing or light green on the new growth. Everything else is green and healthy looking, but how does the plant look? Is it okay, or am I doing something wrong/need to add something? I read somewhere that lighter colored new growth is okay as long as it eventually gets to that darker green color....input? Thanks!

Son of a B. Must have given it too much nutes. I gave it a tiny bit extra just to see. I’ll keep it simple and low next feeding.

This is what I’m currently using. I give it half a tablespoon mixed with a gallon of water. And I only give it to it once a week. Thoughts? Any and everyone...
I also haven’t gotten bone meal yet. I’ll get that soon. Maybe once it’s looking healthier? Then I just basically will only give that to it once? Half a cup on top of the soil...? Then water it after I put it on top of the soil?

Okay, here’s where we’re at now. Looking healthy for the most part, but the lower buds and leaves are starting to yellow. Is this a nitrogen deficiency? How can I get this bad girl healthy so she makes it all the way? Any thoughts or input is much appreciated! Thank you all in advance!

I would refrain from removing any of the fan leaves as they are your solar panels and a very important part of the plant, it sounds like youve removed some already. Remove too many and you risk either shocking or upsetting the balance of your plant. And as far as removing the bottom branches, not too late, but do so sparingly. Clip one and wait 4-6 days before clipping another. If your plant is flowering you may want to increase your potassium a little, I go from a 10-10-10 to a 8-17-8, and your schedule of once a week is how I do it as well. To each their own, Im sure that you will get other advice that might be better than mine, but as a rule of thumb, its a plant, let it grow, and they look like they are doing fine. I would also refrain from turning the plant as well, as your roots will start to grow into the soil and will increase your plants health, strength, and yield. Good luck!! PS I have a couple 5 gallon buckets too, also some 20-30 gal fabric pots and a fw 5 gal pots.

And shake those babies after a good rain, just enough to get the water off, will cut way back on potential bud rot.

Ayyyye thanks for the input! I appreciate it. Last season I lost my plant because I was giving it bloom food way too often (2-3 times a week). I’m giving it less and less often now because like you said, it’s a plant. I’m trying to just let it do it’s thing.
I haven’t taken any leaves off in a while, but I was taking fan leaves off a couple weeks back. Thinking about it, they’ll also be collecting the ash and maybe protecting my buds a bit too in the process. But I was thinking about it, and I’m thinking it shouldn’t have any affect on the smokeability of the buds, yeah?
i was spinning it when I had the chance. I didn’t see any roots growing through the bottom, but maybe when/if I do it again I’ll make sure that the roots aren’t coming out.
im really hoping to make it through the entire season and get something out of this. If I can make it, I’ll maybe do one more plant next year.
Has anyone tried this moolah strain before? It seems like it comes from good stalk and the plant is pretty nice looking so far. Pretty excited for all of this and just doing the best I can while also trying to keep it natural. It’s been such a crazy dry summer so far, but as soon as it rains (first rain expected next week) I’ll be sure to shake it off and try to get it as dry as possible.
I appreciate everyone’s input, it’s much needed!
