Indica or Sativa

You should really search for basic answers such as this before posting, as there is a lot of info on here about the differences between indica & sativa. Googling these words will prob give you a much better scientific description. I'll give ya a brief explaination about the differences and why people prefer one or the other.

Indica is a shorter, usually bushier plant than a sativa. They do better growing in cooler climates than sativas. While both create cannabinoids, there are over 400 that get you high, and the ratios of each will vary pending on it's genetics. An indica will still be high in THC levels, but will contain much more CBN/CBD than sativa varieties. It is these two cannabinoids specifically that are the main cause for the "couch-lock" feeling brought on by indicas. They are more of a body high. Great for medicinal purposes, as those with cancer, back/body pains, anxiety, ... use this for it's pain relief & calming effects. Insomnia patients are able to sleep better with indicas. And so on. The reasons people grow indicas these days really does vary. Some enjoy the intense body high. Some don't care which high they get and are just low on grow space and need a short/bushy strain that will fit well, and indicas are the strains with those types of traits. Some grow for medical patients and they know an indica will provide them more medical relief than a sativa. It really depends.

Sativas are my favorite, but this is all personal preference. They grow better in warmer, tropical climates. If grown in cooler climates with lots of rain, these will be much more susceptable to mold & disease, moreso than indicas that seem to be more resistant to that weather. The sativas are easy to identify as most will grow tall, stretchy, lanky stalks comapred to what you see in the short, tight internodal indicas. While this equates to less bud sites, the sativa branching has very few leaves and lots of room for bud development, and is therefore able to produce very large cola sized nugs on each branch coming out. The Sativas are known for their very energetic head highs. This is due to the much higher THC content, and less of those couch-lock cannabinoids that are in indicas. You can smoke on Sativas and still enjoy being active, whereas an indica can really be something that ends your night.

While this is all very general & basic, this is just a lil to get you started. But I really do highly encourage searching these things out before you post. You'll find some good info.
