White widow was a winner for me too. I dont have any way to measure, but you can probably gauge the size in comparison to the 5 gal bucket. The plant was under 30" tall and had buds almost the size of 2 litre bottles. Pictured at 6.5 wks flower. One of my better runs over the years. Wish I had taken more pics of it.

My mazari and early skunk by seedsman have yielded nice colas. Both are very similar and run 9wks. I know for sure they are what they are.

The plants I posted are 10 to 12 weeks.

You always get the best buds and I think potency when you can keep the plant compact and around 2 feet of buds. I use 600 watt bulbs and 30" plants are about perfect. I think I could get 3 ft of buds with a higher ceiling and 1000's.

I was running 1K's at that time. I too have little headroom. Total of 7' then factor in the hood height, hangers, and space between the tops of buds and the hood, then buckets. Not much room for anything more than 3' for me.

Yup. Works great with some planning and technique. 30" from the top of the pot for my room.

Not sure if you meant that for me but I did 1k's in my 7' room and it worked great. Just gotta keep the veg heights under control with the anticipation of it stretching in flower up to 3x its size when you flip to 12/12. @MichiganMedGrower could get away with 1K too if he had the means to extract the heat properly and kept his veg heights in check. I've run my tops as close to 12" with no bleaching on my 1k's but they ran really cool.

It was for you and @MichiganMedGrower

I am getting lower temps in my 3x3 by 5 degrees with a 1K HPS than the same 3x3 with a 320w COB LED..........

Makes me want to hang up the 5x9 tent and slap two 1K HPS in there.........

and veg the 3x3 with the 600w MH.........

The 5x9 has a height of 7'11' with the extension kit

I am currently only using 400W of CXB3070's for my GG#4 grow but once its done I'm hooking up my (2) 1k HPS now that we have some cooler temps here in the Midwest. I use the outside environment to cool and exhaust my rooms with those. Then I dont need to run AC like I did with my cobs since theres no way to "vent" them, but I have some plans for that in the works. I have outside air come in, through the lights, then vented back outside. My 1K's stay very cool, but my setup isnt good for summer grows at all. My AC was workin real hard this summer just with 400W of cobs. Thats the only reason I even built the light bars was for summer grows.

I wasn't sure it was me either. Lol.

No. Not necessarily. I only like the way my plants respond as close as 18" from the glass of my blockbuster air cooled hoods now. And I am lighting a 3.5' x 7' area with 2 of them. This has proved optimum for growth and trichome production. And even at that height those 600's can bleach a ripening plants leaf a bit. If I had 10 feet I would likely use 3 600's for even coverage.

And I like to lower plants as they finish to reduce light intensity. Seems to keep the plant healthier and the buds growing and making trichs to the end.

I never push my plants. Just provide them with the best growing environment for the plants as possible. Next upgrade will be added blue and uv lighting I am pretty sure. If pot can be more potent and psychoactive I am going to try to get there.
