Well id say that 3 days old is a little young to put outside.

Id say try to keep them inside a week or two then you need to harden them off

As for soil, the norm is digging a 3'x3' hole. many people use FoxFarms soil and it has a good reputation although is pretty pricey.
You can find cheaper soil at local nurseries and such.

Also for nutes a mix of blood meal and bone meal is always recomended. Fish Emulsion is also a good source of nitrogen for vegging

What im doing for my MN outdoor grow is a mix of FoxFarms ocean forest and happy frog, along with native soil mixed with sphagnum peat moss, perlite, and dolomite lime

I am also using FoxFarms happy frog granular Acid Loving 6-4-4 fertilizer and Alaskan Fish Emulsion
