added 1/2 a ml high nitrogen guano per gal to the rez after week three trying to make them a dark green hoping the ammonia in the guano will help

I have a hydro tomato going in a DWC under LED and CFL....plant is rockin like crazy, do you have any indication on time line to fruit?
Everything I have found online leans toward 70-90 days.....

I have a lot of indoor tomato experience.
If you want the best results choose small sized tomatoes.
Start with cherries. You'll have the best luck with smaller fruit.

Trying to pull off a 2-pound Aunt Gertie Gold or a giant beefsteak is going to be difficult indoors with artificial lighting. You can get handfuls of cherries in most indoor conditions. The container varieties are even better because the plant tends to be compact.

Indeterminate tomatoes will give you the best chance of taking clones and keeping the plant rotation going. Or you can use various pruning techniques and keep one plant going. I had a cherry tomato in a hydrofarm bucket for 3-years. No worries, just constant cherry production.

My boss grows hydro vegetables on a very large scale (could be commercial but it is a hobby, they give away alot of food to the local community center for passing out to people on hard times), his brother sells hydro farming systems...he was saying pretty much the same thing this morning.

awesome! I won't be topping them unless you think thats something thats necessary. I didn't know you could top tomatoes.

Added more guano for a total of 1ml/gal; they look alot greener and healthier!
week4

here comes the hps at the end of week 5. I think they'll turn yellow this bulb contains no blue or violet- but hey, ten dollar value

soon to be freak yellow tomatoes. i want a 7500k mh but after all this stuff i bought 25$ is too much right now maybe next year. if they suffer from being yellow it's back to t5 ~10000k_no_UV which works great by the way

Week 6 and not bad I think I'll flush the growing medium

so the hps didn't turn them yellow i guess the plants i first tried it on had no nitrogen. they got torn down anyways . got so big they needed more air and wilted, branches started snapping etc. put in a boss in-out air system and back to soil w/ different plants. cya!

That looks really good. We have had troubles with watermelon and others getting long and lanky.. Thats when i was running 400mh on it.. NOW its a different story.. I will say from seed till now your plants look awesome... I did some peppers and in 3 mod my plant was reaching 6.5ft mark.
