indoor lighting question

so i'll be starting a small indoor grow and since i live in a really sunny part of the world where the lighting schedule is currently 14 hours of sunlight and 10 hours of darkness i was wondering if it would be too harmful to just rely on window sill lighting? and the enviroment isn't an issue because my location has perfect humidity and temp for these gorgeous plants so just wondering. if not what's a good cheap light source i could use that would supply enough light for growing only 1 plant at a time? thanks

250w mh/hps. If you're growing inside, the point is to force conditions, especially light! Take advantage of that and you can really grow some great stuff...otherwise you may as well grow outdoors and let mother nature really play out

well i'm wanting it to stay small so i'm only gonna let it veg for a little and what bulbs at what in the cycle?

i meant at which point in the cycle do i use which bulb or is there a universal bulb good for throughout the whole cycle?

Well onjly you can be the judge of the amount of light your window gets. ive seen some fine plants grown by a window but i could imagine only how much better they would have been if grown with sufficient light. Airflow is the other one, plants outside just thrive in the el naturale so make sure theres plenty of fresh air.. almost sounds like you should just go ahead and put her outside..

Also regardless of photoperiod you can just manipulate by putting her away eg; dark cupboard and control the 12 hours yourself.

Cheap light= CFL, can grow buds but not ideal, T5 floros, better still something like a 250 watt hps but yeh then u start needing more shit.

depending where your from in the world, thres always the cheap n nastys like sunmaster 'dual spectrum' HPS.
Ive used on of these, a 400watt for my mothers for maybe 2-3 years now theyre fine for any stage

yea, i would grow outdoors but that'd be too sketchy, but i have a DWC rig going and i know the airflow would be good because here it's nice and alwayas has a nice small wind blow too

also, i was wondering, if male plants still produce trichomes because since i'm only growing 1 plant at a time it wouldn't be harmful if i had a male so in the chance that i do get a male i was wondering if i could cut up the leaves w/ trichomes on them and smoke that and still get high? or is this just bullshit i'm fabricating in my head?

Is ur location staying in flowering phtotperiod? otherwise DWC will be a bitch to shift everyday twice.

And goodluck with all those critters be flying in thewindow, with no predator bug population inside they will take over for sure

alot of ppl smoke males yes sure, some because they know cannabis is good, good for health etc and they dont waste a drop.
also brfeeders smoke males to gauge a males potency, why not!

but spending all that time for some pitiful male flowers is waste of time, we need the SENSI!!
