Nice plants, looking healthy! I cant tell the sex yet. I'd be careful putting them outside, they'd probably start flowering quickly because they are getting 20 hrs of light. If it were me maybe veg them another month or longer, then flower them outside. Kinda the same as the normal outdoor season.
great work!
Well to be honest I'm still a little hesitant to put any of them outside. I only want to keep about 5 or 6 in the big box under the 400w. I have 9 all together I will prolly put 2 or 3 in my smaller box with a 250w CFL and 26w CFL as supplement lighting. And maybe one outside. I plan to veg the 5 I will keep in the big box for about another 2 -3 weeks. And the 2 or 3 going into the small box will be flipped to 12/12 under CFLs this Saturday. Would you recommend transplanting the 2-3 smaller plants in the small box into 3 gal pots for the duration? They are currently in 1 gal pots. The 5 that are going in the big box will be transplanted to 3-5 gal pots for sure.

What's up chasen! I would flower in 3gal instead of 1, if it were me and u have the room. Also id be hesitant to flower under cfl, could u flower with the 1000w mh in the big box ? and flower using the 400w in the little box? Bigger lights are going to be way bigger yields... Good luck bro

No I'm sorry I have to change the title of the thread. No 1000w. At the beginng of veg I was using a 1000w ballast with a 400w mh bulb. About 3 weeks ago I picked up a new electronic 400w ballast. The big box has the 400w mh currently will switch to HPS for flower.

I want to grow to the best of my ability (or as far as my wallet will let me) all 9 plants are currently in 1 gal pots. I know a 400 is kinda small for a 4x4x6 so that means I should prolly only flower about 5 maybe 6 of them under 400 HPS correct? All them have about 8-10 tops and am LSTing. The small box measures approx. 21"x40"x 40". If I chose to only flower 6 in the big box, then I would put the rest in the small box for flowering. So kinda a micro/stealth type grow. I know LED is ideal for this route but I just don't have the funds. So my only options are CFL, or let Mother Nature finish the job. The 5 or 6 that are staying in the big box under the 400 I plan to veg. For prolly a couple more weeks. Then transplant into 5 gal pots with a good soil (as I am using shitty black magic now :wall: ) And if I'm gonna use that small box for flower i need to get on it asap because I don't want them to out grow the box.

Sounds like you are on the right track. It's all up to u. U could flower all 9 in the big box and supplement with cfl. U are correct and 6 would be plenty for one 400 watt. Are u limited to the amount you can put outside? And are they all females?

No I am not limited to how many I can put outside. But I do have some pretty large trees that make a lot of shade so depending on where the sun is I would prolly have to move them throughout the day. And as of now I am crossing my fingers they are females. My father got the seeds from his friend who is a grower and he said he thinks they are feminized.

Today I visited a local shop here in Tacoma wa called ReGen. They are a consignment shop where you can buy sell trade used growing equipment. I'll include pics of my purchase but I got a brand new 250w CFL(2100k red spec.) with a used hydrofarm hood. For $35. Nutes for flowering 50% off paid $20. Ph up & down $10. 3 gal soft pots $2 each. And an organic insecticide & fungicide called Nuke Em. $20.

Tonight I will work on getting the small box setup with its new light and hood. I'm excited to use this nuke em stuff i have been seeing small flys like knats or whatever. And actually I think something is taking bites out of the tips of the new leaves. It says I have to apply it when the lights are off so I will just wait until the timer clicks off at noon tomorrow. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon I can have the small box up and running 12/12 with a 2 or 3 plants inside.

Oh forgot to mention. My original small box would not work with the new 250w CFL and hood. So I brought home a few sheets o ply wood and some 2x3 from work and whipped out another box. This one went together in about an hour with a beer assistant. Pretty much same design as the big box just a smaller scale 3'x2.5'x 4' high.

Well shit. Pretty certain I have at least one male so far(the larger one in smaller flowering box. I will attach pic. Gonna let it go a lil longer I might have a light leak will look into further tonight after work. The last pic is the other plant in flower box I believe is showing signs of female. should I just toss the male now?

Looking good! I'd say it's looking like a male. Following!
Thanks brotha. Just took the male out and set it in the sun all by it's pitiful lonesome idk what to do with it. I'd hate to just kill it so I might as well let him go outdoors for the remainder. Vegged for 6 weeks and now in 2nd week flower. It's dark at night for about 10 hrs now I'm hoping it'll stay in flower as it was on 20/4 in veg.

I have trellis netting I picked up a few weeks ago I am thinking about setting up in the big box. Is trellis netting something that once it's set up you don't mess with it? Or do you add a layer of netting higher as it grows? I have about 6' to work with and they are about 24" at the moment and just cut the lights back yesterday & swapped out the Phillips MH for Apollo HPS. I will snap a few updated pics and attach them at the bottom. Have had lots of growth since the last pics I posted of them.

Finally noticed I can share some pics. I included a pic of the one plant I let be and didn't top or lst at all. Check out the massive fan leaves she's chuckin out. I have identified another female. It's the Front right one in the photos. Hope to get 2 maybe 3 more as the space is limited. And I prolly vegged to long. They are about 27" tall in 3 gal pots and have been flowering for 5 days. box is 6". Didn't really want to but I'm prolly gonna have to build a smaller box on top of the big box to house the light. That way the plants have a true 6' . Box gets pretty warm at times and I like to keep the light about 20 " above the tops but I'm sure I'll have to deal with them getting closer as they stretch.

Looks like I got 3 females out of 9. Meh. Oh well I was kinda cramped for space anyway. One of the females happen to be the one I didn't top. So we'll see how it turns out compared to the other 2 I topped. Put 4 more males out on the back 40 today. Also picked up a tray with humidity dome & took 7 clones. They are in small box along with the 1 plant that I've been negectling and needs transplanting into large pot. Unfortunately on another I didn't leave enough growth where i topped it and now it's starting to split. Pic included.

Don't mind the messy garage it also has been neglected for a couple weeks. And my super cool beach towel (I use it to help cover light leaks)
