Indoor/Outdoor Veg? Sun to HPS?

Is it possible to veg from morning sun to late afternoon and then transfer to your bloom room where you got your flowering plants going. I was thinking economically and came up with the idea 2 days ago, but worried that the offset may hurt the growth. Let me know what you think.

-Bloom/Dark grow Tent is doing 12/12 with 6 small 10"-12" plants with a 250HPS fixture, tent size is 2' x 2' x 5'-2". Also i got the fixture about 2' 1/2" feet up, will i be having heat problems if i don't use my fan all the time?

hmmm you could run into some problems, like

- forgetting the plants over night, spilling them, plants getting too heavy to move
- plants growing too tall outside for your indoor setup
- yes you will be having heat problems w/out the fan on
- you may have heat problems even with the fan on all the time - 5'2'' sounds too small - plants may bump the light and burn

True. I'm trying both pruning and bending their direction to make them fat little bushes. id like to max the space with 3 bush plants. Its only a 250 and it seems like im doing ok with the heat as of now, but we will see approuching summer.

But i should just keep them indoor on veg?

Can i do 12hour veg HPS and 12hour veg CFL?

I like the idea but I think you're risking hermies if you do that. You're probably better just vegging completely with the CFL. really trying to keep that energy bill down huh?

Check out the second page on this forum. its my first grow, second round. The four plants in the wick system tray were vegged under a 12 hours of 250watt HPS and 6 hours under the sun
