Hi guys, two days ago I watered my girls and they were ok in height, now going to look at them, and they were extremely tall, first time growing sativas and using indoor, how could I control their growing at this moment?, one of them got burn with the light and the tallest leaves looks weird. The tent height is 180 cms. They are 28 days old. Cheese automatic.

Well,

I hate to say "you should've thought about that before' BUT "you should have thought of that before" LOL!

You have 2 choices here....move the light up, and since you're in a tent that is un-likely. Or as grumpy said, tie them down. You need to be pretty careful so you don't break the stalks. Sorry I could not offer a better suggestion.

Next time LST from the start.

looks like your reflector and light are tied to the top of the tent? if you have had it there for the length of the grow...that is a major part of the problem. Get some ratchet ropes and be able to adjust height. So, for next grow, keep the light as close as possible without burning. And study training techniques like LST, Sog, and Scrog.

Good Luck and great Growz

I agree with the suggestions of bending, carefully bending the stalk to the side. You can also try to angle your light over to get more coverage. It looks like one of them is already getting cooked to a crisp.

A formula I provided for another grower to keep this sorta thing from happening is the "when to flower formula"
I'll use my tent for example *measurements are in inches, no sprouts/plants used in the formula*

Tent is 57 tall, does it mean I can have a 57 plant, nope.
Tent total interior height = 57
Distance from bottom of light to floor = 47
Pot height is = 11

Here's the formula: H - S = G
Distance from bottom of light to top of soil in pot height (H) = 36
Safe distance from light (S) = 5
Available grow height (G) = 31
So using H - S = G will be 36 - 5 = 31
When to flower? When you reach half of G
Divide 31 by 2 = 15.5
Considering plants may double in height, and my (G) is 31. I wait until they're about 15 to 16 inches tall when I flip to flowering cycle.
Hopefully this formula will keep you from having this issue. (disclaimer, not all plants have the same flowering growth spurt)

Bend your plant little by little tying it wherever you can.

If you are worried about it hitting the light you can make a cage out of chicken wire around your light attached to your reflector too.

I tried using a wire to train a plant over so it wouldn't hit the light, ended killing the bud/stem where the wire touched. Be careful if you use that method. Not sure what type of wire it was but man it discolored anything it touched.

I use garbage bag ties/plant ties (garbage bag ties in a cuttable spool) and zip ties however I can. Never had one problem. Only problems I have is breaking a branch every now and then when I try to bend to much.

I've bent mine so bad they just flopped over, the stem didn't bust open or break, some how some way they found a way to live on.

Personally I would put plastic trellis against the walls of your tent. Ditch the reflector and go vertical. That way you could just bend the stretch plant around the tent
