It's been a bitch trying to find strain with <.03 thc, and a big ol' heaping helping of CBD content! Someone out here can surely steer me in the right direction. I'm not in a state where I can buy seeds straight from a dispensary, so its either seed banks or the list of companies the state gave me. But they all sell in bulk and I'm just trying to start out small. Thanks in advance for commenting.

buy a bunch of cbd flower online and you will get some seeds out of it plus have cbd bud to smoke therefore its a win win :p

100% O and maybe get 5-10 or more seeds from it instead of paying 100$ for seeds and the time and money spent in the long run it prob be just best to buy cbd flower online instead of wasting the time to grow it since the flower is pretty cheap for a O kinda :p

tweedlefarms or cbdhemp direct is very good cbd flower!

Bag seed is fine if you like hermies.

It's better to spend the money and start with stable genetics.

Hermies.. where did the male come from? Most folks are not using regular seeds, but producing fems for better genetic consistentcy.

Me, I am going to try Master Hemp from Medical Marjuana Genetics. Some purple buds, interesting turps, .3-.5 THC 12-16% CBD

Can't recommend a particular strain, but I've been reading that hemp growers need to chop super early in the flower season--like week 6 of flower--even if the plant doesn't appear done--in order to avoid the plant making greater than 1% THC. So if you want CBD with little to no THC, find a high CBD strain and chop early.

Where do you think bag seed comes from?
Either the breeder was sloppy and your seeds are from an unknown male, or more likely, a female hermied.
Hell the plant could have even fertilized itself.
If you've been following some of the hemp growing that's going on you'd see some of these farms are 100's of acres an it would be easy to miss a few males. I'm not sure I'd say that's sloppy; it's just a scale thing IMO. But any seeds found in high CBD hemp flowers are virtually guaranteed to be from a high CBD hemp male. It's not like there's acres of high THC males just out and about blowing pollen all over the place in Colorado, Washington and Oregon.

It's strain and environment dependent. Some strains will finish with no detectable THC, some will finish under the 0.3% THC limit and some you have to cut early. Also, if a field is irrigated, increasing watering frequency can minimize THC production. For whatever reason less frequent rain or irrigation can increase THC production in some strains.

Are you saying the hermaphrodite trait does not exist in hemp?

@OPfarmer Did you ever purchase those?

Are they a good company to go through?
I got High Alpine Genetics (Mandrin pie) through DCSE. I have used DCSE twice in the last few weeks. Exellent, fast as lighting service. 5 star service for me. They have a good High Alpine Genetics selection.
I emailed a question to high Alpine Genetics, never got a response? So don't know what it's like to deal with them directly. Or for that matter how their seeds perform yet..

@OPfarmer @Chunky Stool

Know this is an old thread but curious as to how the High Alpine Genetics did for y'all? Any success? Would you recommend?

Currently working for an indoor aeroponic-hydroponic company here in Asheville NC and looking to find some new genetics for CBD/hemp. We were sent some of their Haute Sauce Line (Terp Town USA, Watermelon Dream Sauce, Gonzo) and some of their Feminized Dream Line (Cherry Butter).

Also anyone else who has good hemp/cbd genetics and companies for seeds, lemme know. :) We have some some decent hookups here in Asheville, but always looking to expand our arsenal.

Yes I highly recommend high alpine genetics based on my experience growing Farmers Daughter.
Zero hermies and fairly resistant to mold/pm. Some of the bigger buds had rot, but the strain did much better than C99!
I will be cloning my keeper for a while.

Assuming you are growing outdoors, correct? Thanks for the reply back also
