The only negative regarding the VPD leaf temp offset is that its a single value not contingent on the photoperiod.
Lights-on leaf temp offset will be a few degrees (3-5f)lower than ambient.
LIghts-off they'll be no difference (None that I could measure).
The chosen offset will only be correct for light-on or lights-off, not both unfortunately.
