Infrared security camera in grow space

Hi I wanna set up two cameras so I can record the growth of my crop and do cool little fast forward videos of a crop maturing. Now I wanted to get the IR night vision security cameras so I can see everything during the dark period as well.

But I am wondering will these IR or night vision LEDs on typical security cams gonna cause disruption to the girls sleep?

Are there any grow safe options?

Found this

Which suggest the light use 840nm+ now is that far enough out of the par range or does that wake them up somehow.

I have heard of some folks having a plant closest to the IR camera go hermie on them so I do think that there is a limit. If you had one in a big grow room and not right up close to the plants it's probably ok but close to the plants can cause issues.

This makes sense to me. Some of these cameras claim 120ft of night vision, which would tell me they must be blasting a good bit of radiation.

Just to circle back on this as I've done more research. Most security cameras use 840ish nm Ir for night vision which gives off some visible red light at times. Which I believe would herm the plants.
The solution is to get a 940nm emitter and camera that pics up that wave length. That is completely out of the visible and par spectrum.

I have one in my grow room for a couple of years....no issues...but the camera is around 10 feet from the plants.

As long as you have even a few feet of separation you should be fine, most indoor IR cameras have a relatively low out put and the light intensity should fallow the inverse square law. That said, I run a camera for time lapse video of the plants, but I don't really see the advantage of running it outside of the photoperiod, as the growth rate is pretty low.

I've been wondering about infrared, last week I googled which is the most efficient heaters and its apparently infrared, so I've been wondering if a infrared heater is ok in a tent?
