Inline Booster Fan

Whatsup newbies! Just got done buying a 6" inline booster fan off amazon. 240CFM, I wanna get all the airflow I need for my tent. I feel like I'm going to have to position on the bottom of my tent in one of the vent holes. Sound good? Lemme know what you guys think

Be aware that when you add a carbon filter along with the booster fan it will dramatically reduce the rated cfm.

Duct booster fan...Hmmm
Been there, Done that.

Just like the commercial about that Vegetable drink..." Could of had a V8..... Slap in the head".

You should have saved up for a Real inline fan with speed controller. "Slap in the head ! "

I made this mistake a long time ago. Now I have 2 of those fans tossed in a box in the garage.

Sorry for the confusion but I have a carbon filter an inline fan combo, I was asking more about the smaller fan that blows fresh air into the tent.. Amazon calls it an air duct fan

If you plan on using it to just push air into your tent via a bottom port you should be fine. I wouldn't hook a carbon filter up to it. I wouldn't put a reducer on it if it's too big either. It's a decent supplemental fan I guess. I use one in the summer, I don't really need it during the winter. It's probably not going to push 240cfm's either, duct fans never pull/push what they say.

You can easily buy a dimmer switch made for lights and wire a box with a cut extension cord. Cost me $10 total.

Yeah that's what the main focus was, everyone talks about having more light more bud and the more ventilation the better so I was assuming hooking one up to the bottom of my tent would be good.. As to them not flowing at that cfm is odd, if not 240 what is it really?

and you would be wrong doing that. a fan control is made for a motor load and a dimmer is made for a lighting load.

I've always felt if you are removing hot high heat the cooler outside air fills its spot naturaly unless sealed. With that said fan can only help.
