Inline carbon filter recommendations?

The Phresh inline series seems to have been discontinued. What do peopleuse nowadays? I need ~800cfm.

Has anyone used the Active Air brand?

I've found within the upper price range they all do well, lower price seems to be shorter lasting. You can't go wrong and everyone has a recommendation.

Get one with a pre-filter and 2 inches of carbon. The cheap filters that give out quickly will only have 1.5 inches or less of carbon.

Hey guys, specifically looking for an inline filter. Open on both ends - it needs to be outside the tent.

Nope. I found a handful of the discontinued Phresh 8" in stock but I don't know if I want to gamble being able to find a replacement without totally changing my setup shortly down the line.

Mountain air, can, rhino pro, carboair. Just pick one that suits it's hardly a gamble they all do the same thing.

Try to find one where you can easily remove the caps, so you can refill it with active carbon pellets when it needs to be renewed.

Some brands have the caps bolted on, there you would have to remove the bolts first (probably by drilling through them). In other brands they use regular screws to keep the caps in place. These are easily removed, then you can open the filter and exchange the coal pellets.

Refilling saves money and reduces waste.

You said you want to put it outside of the tent. Is there another reason why you need an inline filter specifically?

It's possible to use a non-inline filter outside the tent, on the exhaust side of the fan.
(What are "non-inline" filters even called?)

Also, have you considered just refreshing your existing inline filter by replacing the coal pellets? It's really not difficult after you got the thing open (if it's bolted you will have to remove the bolts by force and replace with screws).
