Ok, so I'm looking to cool this 600 watt I have and am wondering what inline fan would be good enough for it, this is a closet set up, and temps getting hot and still have left door open but not good enough and would like cooler temps. Also, I have a 400 too, if I set that up with the 600, what would be sufficient to cool both lights? Any help/advice/comments, anything, is appreciated.. Thanks

if your door is open ansd its till too hot you need to lower the rooms ( not the closet ) ambient temps.. Turn AC up and set up a fan blowing cool air in from your room into the closet.. Thats if you are going to leave the door open.. If your gonna close the door your gonna have to make some type of ventillation in and out..

Thanks dude, still doesn't answer my question completely but yes I could leave door open and just have a fan outside door too, I'm sure that'd help and it's a good idea, but I still had ac on and fan in the room where closet is and it was still somewhat pretty warm above the tops but the 600 was ridiciously hot, couldn't even touch hood for two seconds, I just want to have a good crop and would like to get plants closer, thanks man for your help. You know of an inline fan that would be good for a 600? I don't have dimension specs of the closet right now but something that would keep it cool, any idea? Thanks

the inline fans channel and force air through tubes. depending on your light hood, an inline fan could be completely useless.

i bought cool tube systems, and i retrofitted a squirrel box fan to act as an inline fan. keeps my temps down.

dj is right tho -- you cannot expect the closet to be any cooler than the ambient temperature of the air you are "cooling" with.

400 cfm or more would be plenty. You can get something for around $120 to $150 to take care of it. There are posts on here that will show you the proper way to set everything up. Learning is half the battle.

I've got a 6" valueline cent. fan, about 450 cfm and an air cooled hood and a 1000watt hps in a 4x4 grow box and it stays exactly the same temp as outside I can put my hand on the glass of the hood w/ no problems...
