Yeah I’m pleased with my AC infinity 6”. If my setup where different I’d go with the controller version like @Bookush34 said Very quiet on lower settings 1-4

Shoot I even had a shit ton of condensation build up in it and only heard it because of the water hitting the fan blades (it was that full…)
And it was still working and still is today

Got an 8" hyper fan on a filter in the grow area, I'm really happy with it. Bought a 4" china brand /w filter from Amazon for the smoking area and it easily produces 2x the noise.

My dream fan is a Vortex S series but I settled on an 8" VivoSun with a built in speed control for half the price. I would probably die before the Vortex anyway or at least before the 15 year?, maybe 10 year warranty ran out. :)

Nice piece of work too.

I've never heard of that happening. Your RH must be thru the roof and even then it sounds weird. Way too dry here for that to ever happen.

Good torture test tho. Took a dippin' and kept on spinnin'. :)

yeah it was a pretty odd situation. Humidifier running. Temps in the garage dropping. Had it set too high so the hot moist air condensates in the uninsulated ducting in the unconditioned space

I can see that happening. I thought about that while trying to figure out how to run my exhaust vent up the side of my shop to vent above the roof line but settled on cutting a 6" hole thru the little stub wall on top of the cement wall in the grow room and vent out at ground level under the shop. A 20' run of pipe out there at -30C would probably condense all the moisture before it could reach the to and melt down when more warm, moist air was pushed up it. I vented into my garage attic at the old place in town all winter and it f'n rained inside in the spring. got the ladder and looked up there and it was a f'n winter wonderland in the attic. What a f'n mess. lol

There was already two 4" vents as the room was designed as a cold storage room by the old guy I bought the house from so I could have used 2 - 4" fans and got the same CFM as 1 - 6". Originally I had rigged a 5" fan from a microwave to blow out one of the 4" pipes but it wasn't enough to cool the room when running a couple of 400s or my 1000w HID.

My iPower fan from amazon has been going nearly 2 yrs nonstop at near 100%. It only gets turned off between grows for a quick cleaning.
