Input welcome, old dog new tricks.

So Marzig, are you running the Autopot brand nutes? Im going to finally be getting paid for that damned car wreck in a few months and i figure on getting 3 of them to run and hopefully start getting half pound+ plants. Ive looked around and those seem to be the best and easiest method to get big Autos. Ive wondered whether to use the Autopot nutes or the Canna A+B since ill be using their coco. Shit, if the settlement is good enough i may even seal the tent and buy some CO2.
My 2 bobs worth as far as co2 goes is that unless you can dial in your temp and humidity in accurately it’s pretty much useless. Would be better to invest in humidifier/dehumidifier and temp controls/sensors.. if you can get those variables consistent then you can use co2 and a bigger light and dial everything up. (Also if you get those perfect you will see a bigger increase in yield/quality than if you just added co2 anyhow)

Here's the Granite Haze growth progress from last week.

EC up to 2.0, PH at 6.1, and lights up to 550 ppfd. Started bottom feeding the two larger outside plants directly to their bottom trays yesterday. Still top feeding smaller middle plant. Next week it should be big enough to start bottom feeding all three directly from the reservoir.

Temp at 80, RH 60%, and with a leaf offset temp of -5 degrees VPD is 0.94 kPa.

Your 2 bobs are always respected. I already had rejected the plan to use it. Today, Scotty on Dude Grows, discussed exactly what you said. He says its basically pointless unless you can completely control the environment and that unless youre pushing <800 PPFD then its a waste of cash. I already believed you. I dont have nearly the setup to be trying CO2. I still have plenty to learn i reckon. I swear, some of this stuff, it seems i knew but forgot? Hell i dont know. Head injured and smoking hommade wax...Duh...

That’s a lovely set of parameters there.
What’s the climate control app?

All good man, so much to remember.. I swear the only way to get the important ones lodged in your memory is via catastrophic cock ups haha..
I have got my cams up and working again to keep a closer eye on things.. this time I have them come on only when I prompt them to, last time they hermed on me because the motion sensor would kick in during light out and blast infrared light everywhere…doh

This interview I found interesting, he notes a linear increase in yield with increasing pppfd up to and beyond 2000ppfd (so long as no limiting factors are present).. I thought bugbee had said peak efficiency was around 1500ppfd then tapered off rapidly..
And also that it’s not so much leaf surface temp in late flower that needs to be optimised so much as flower (bud) temperature. Perhaps I’ll get out the temp gun and play with AC hitting the canopy
I might also have to revisit my habit of dialing ppfd back toward the end of bloom.
Yeh, that video is excellent as in "required reading".

I've attached a copy of Westmoreland's thesis.

Re. "dialoging back" - Bugbee was asked in a Mr Growit interview about 48 hours of darkness and Bugbee replied, without hesitation, that he'd leave the lights on for 48 hours.

EC up to 2.5 and PH at 6.1
Started feeding directly from reservoir 5 days ago.
Lights are up to 700 ppfd.
Raised tent temp to 82 degrees and humidity to 62% for leaf offset VPD of 1.01

Judging by the explosion of growth after starting res feeding I probably should have started that earlier. Ben from Speedrun and Daz from Night Owl both start bottom feeding after 14 days.
Plants are extremely dense and compact. Next week I've got 2 far red retro fit light bars coming for my FloraFlex 700w light. These just replace 2 of the 6 normal white bars. A lot of people are talking about how far red triggers plants to stretch. I guess I'll find out if that really works. When they flower I'll swap them back out.

That’ll be a nice experiment. I’ve got a couple of far red and Uv bars kicking about somewhere, I did get probably the frostiest grow I’d ever done with that UV light, But I didn’t really see the benefit of added stretch with the far red, might just be cause I scrog tho.

Ive been considering using a flipped quantum board for under canopy lighting. I figure a 100w with a full dimmer switch set in the middle of my 4 plant grow should help. Or 1 on each end,,,,dadgone it, there i go thinking again lol. Im honestly about ready to fully put up the 3x3 and use the new 300w light in there. Just need to buy a carbon filter and fans. And, autopots and coco.....Im about to make my Speedrun order. I so want to grow Autos that take up the whole 3x3. Orat least 2 half pound ones. These Grow Dots have amazed me. The plant is starting to fade and trichs are hover half cloudy. So, i figure its days now. Next run is all Grow Dots. 4 5gallon plants for $28 plus 1 $11 bag of Recharge. When i get the tent going again the scrognet will be back too.

Those grow dots look cool, had a look after you mentioned them the other day.. looks nice and simple.
