Installing can-fan + filter to keep down the sweet smell. Will it work?

Where I live the neighbors are bitchen about someone growing in the park. lol
The park manager followed the scent and ofcourse was at my door Friday letting me know that he didn't care if I'm growing but I needed to do something about the smell. So that means all the dyi things I've tried just were not doin the job.
So I said to myself, self stop being a cheap prick and spend the money on a system that will work without question better than the other things. ( air purifier, homemade charcoal filters ect.)
Does anyone in here have a can-fan system set up and if so how well does it work? Is it worth the investment? And how often do the filters have to be changed?

carbon filters are very very very very very much worth the investment. Anyone who would say different is probably locked up right now.

This is the can/fan setup we have, it's been a terrific investment and not as costly as you might expect. You gotta spend some to save some, know what I mean?

Thanks, you when I started this I thought I would be spending maybe $1500 to get my room set up. After that can-fan set up and everything else including renovating my shed I'm in to this just shy of $6000. And only may end up with a mediocre crop cause I don't shit on how to grow other that what I've read and other growers that I know around where I live.
thanks again for the piece of mind

Long as you stick to a decent nutrient plan (don't try to get too technical, start with a good basic line for your type of grow, whether its hydro or soil). understand how to maintain your setup and have quality seeds (not bagseed) you'll do fine. Try not to worry too much and just keep educating yourself on the process as you go. That seems like a lot to spend but if you're doing it for monetary reasons, and you have good genetics to start with, you'll get that back and then some.

Trail and error... Stick with it and learn from your mistakes, and you'll be alright... IMHO though, the fact the the property manager knows you're growing would be enough for me to stop. Lord knows who he's telling, and who he's telling is telling. Also, if he figured out that you were growing, others around you probably put 2 and 2 together also. You tried to skip on the carbon filter, but went big on everything else instead of starting small and working your way up. There's no reason for a newbie to have spent $6k on their first grow..

Long story short, don't be surprised if you get robbed or raided by L.E. Good Luck.

Lights, renovations, can-fan quite a bit went into renovation, though I do have three 1000wat hps two t5's that I only use for clones and seedlings. But I also have a second grow going across the street that I also paid for, not quite as nice as the one at my house but that one is a hydroponic set up. For some reason I can't settle for just the bare minimum, and the dyi to me is a waste of time cause I suck at it. lol! But I have another two 1000Wat hps over there. Not to mention the bulbs are $100 a piece four ballast at the tune of $375 a piece and I got a pricey dehumidifier for the other grow cause his basement might as well be fuckin raining in it. that was another $280. the renovation over there wasn't too bad I guess we got what we needed done for around $1500. To be honest I'm a out to just tell that guy he can have it all cause he and I are not on the same page. See the deal was ill pay for everything and he grows it and after I get my initial investment back we will start to split it. I still haven't got nearly all of it back and the last crop the guy had ended up completely covered in white mildew cause he is just not as attentive to the plants. That really pissed me off so I built a new one at my place. I spit my shed down the middle when I started it was like any other shed you could all but see through the walls. It's a 14×16×10 shed and my room is 7×16×8 completely redone insulated radiant floor all the walls have r13 insulation I put all new studs in the walls and it is wired up so that each individual electric socket has its own fuse (all 20amp) I ran conduit from the pole had cmp come and run all the electric to the shed then I put its own fuse box to power the hole thing.

Your right, but thus isn't a hobby my intentions are to become as good as the rest of you, and if possible better. if possible you all have a head start on me that's for sure, but I did my home work and where I live it's legal, not just for medical but recreational. As far as getting robbed there's no way that's gonna happen unless they back in a flat bed and take the whole thing. I wouldn't spend that much without a security system that will alert me if any one come within 150ft not to mention my dog barks at everything he hears after dark. Since he sleeps in my room next to the window that is 20 to 25 feet away if for some fucked up reason they do get by my security they won't stop my dog from barking and waking me up. That and it locked up tighter than a nun cunt! And if I'm not home and they get through all my shit unless they know how to stop my booby trap from taking Thierry head off they will still be there when I get back. If I'm home and they want to still get froggy then as a last resort I'll just shoot them. But I don't think it would ever get to that, at least I hope not.

i wish i had neighbors like you. "hey Rem, could i set up a hydroponic system in your basement to grow some plants? i can only have 6 at a time and its just not cutting it. ill split it with you... and if anyone tries to take our plants ill decapitate them with this hatchet i plan on spring-loading behind the basement door".

i'd trade you plant care for clones off of them.
