Insulation question

Just wanted to post an update; I installed the rafter vents and R-19 over that, black fireproof plastic over that and mylar over that. It is so effective that the snow now melts much slower than the rest of the roof, so when the snow melts the square over my room stays frozen longer...LOL. I'm thinking of putting some R-13 on the sections to each side of the room, just to even it out a bit. Also, during the dark cycle, it holds the heat in a LOT better so the space heater doesn't have to run hardly at all. Major thanks to all of you, especially djburns1, for the good advice.

I'm also ventilating my room with the 4" high velocity fan through the sewer stack pipe. The sewer pipes are 1.5 inch pvc but in the attic it transitions into a 3". So I simply cut a section out of the 3" pipe right before it goes out of the roof and installed a 3" pvc combo wye (image link below) that sends the exhaust air on an upward path right out of the roof! This also works beautifully and has no negative effect whatsoever on anything, not even any noise as the air is exhausted. It is installed upside down in comparison to how it is oriented in this image:

And here I was worried that my insulating would not work well enough, turns out it works almost too well :)
