Glad you got it working.

However there is more to this game than just temperature.

If you don't have an "outtake" aka exhaust you'll get positive pressure inside your grow which forces out smells.

Negative pressure will ensure you don't get any leaks in smell.

Smell is the number 1 for grows getting busted. Followed closely by people talking.


But hey as long as your temps are good right?????

You should have your 5" connected and blowing out your window.

Then as long as your bedroom stays around 20C your temps inside your tent should be golden.


If you have the 5" fan blowing in cold air from the window then
1. Your smells will be insane!
2. You're inviting pests straight into your tent.


You're in the testing stage right now yes?

So when this is running and your temps are stable what happens about the smell?

If you're in a flat then there is generally people living above/below/to the sides of you.

Smell should be your number 1 concern.

Where is your filter in this new way of yours?

and all so. i got 2 holes in my tent for ducktin wich iv only got in at the moment..is ducktin ..and nothink els for my exuast

what if i stuck my filter on the end of the exuast duckting?

iv not connected the filter lol ..just got my 5inch blowing air in from window in to tent .and duckting for exuast ;(

or if it comes to it and it start smelling ill just have to get my sister to but me a 4 inch or 5 inch outake

Jondamon had laid this out perfectly for you. Forget about your bringing cold air IN. Your NUMBER 1 goal should be getting hot air OUT!!!!

You want to go back and read the very LAST post on PAGE 2. This explains it in the simplest terms.

BTW guys, He clearly stated twice, that he's never had the opportunity to go to school. So really, cutting him apart for his shitty grammar over and over again, isn't going to solve anything.

Ok here's what I want you to do.
After you've done this I'd like you to perform a full 24hour test if you don't mind.

Take 2 lengths of ducting from the window to 2 flaps on the lowest part of your tent. These will be your cold air intakes. Screen them.

Hang your filter and fan inside your tent.

Connect the filter to the fan so that its sucking through the filter not blowing.

Now connect some ducting to the fan and send this ducting out of your bedroom if possible. It could be the other side of the window for your intakes. Or it could be out into your hallway.

By doing this you are sending cool outside air into your tent passively as the fan pushes out the hot air. This creates an even flow through your room without any of the air being recycled in anyway while creating negative pressure to allow the air inside the tent to be cleaned by the filter on its way out.



Try to keep duct runs as straight as possible.
If any are curved beyond a 90 bend you loose fan power.


Let me know how the testing went.

You should see a better temperature drop than 78F.



I run my own room 70-75.
