Interesting leaf issue - 1.5 weeks into flower

So I’m in some regular promix for herb soil.

I am at 35-40 m% humidity.

25C for temps.

Water PH is generally around 6.4-6.6PH.

I did just do some calmag yesterday.

Opened tent and see my leaves like this. Also I’m under bridgelux gen2 strips. About 185 watts of them. 3000k. AB760245-5C7A-4997-872B-8AC15538ECA2.jpeg8CCC20DE-67D2-46C8-B655-3E9FDF369BA1.jpeg 893CF084-CA04-4C98-9E50-59882D4B9763.jpegEF35CB98-38F5-4E90-90D5-0AAF7774A2D1.jpeg

You have some root issues is what it looks like. Have you been overwatering?

You've definitely got a mag issue, but that curling, tacoing and tips turned up say pissed off roots... which could have led to the mag issue. Then there's the lighting that's not helping with the root issue, so definitely back it off.

It got worse from yesterday to today.

I have a fan blowing underneath. Should I get rid of that?

I may have over watered a tad. But I didn’t think I was.

I haven’t fertilized at all. I was doing nutes in veg. Not in flower yet.

What should I do? I’m raising the light. Chill on the water for a bit. Add some cal mag in a few days?

Judging by leaf decay and the fact that it's ALL the leaves, this had to have started about a week ago.

Don't get rid of it, just angle it down towards the pot. The don't need to be blown on, just circulation.

If that's overwatering, it's been ongoing. It could be rootbound, benefit of the doubt. Or salt buildup if you haven't been giving runoff.

How many plants are there and how heavy are the pots?

That is one plant. It’s in a 5 gallon fabric pot.

I have been watering with a decent amount of run off.

Well, that probably just answered that question.

Look at the bottom of your pot. Roots protruding out? Do you let it sit in the runoff?

I don’t see roots out of the bottom. Isn’t that the point of fabric pots for air pruning?

And yes it was sitting in the runoff. Pot is also pretty heavy as it was just watered.

Yea, but they'll grow through the pots if they sit in any runoff or the bottom stays soggy.

Last thing you can do, see if it's root rot. Smell the bottom of the pot.

My guess is it's overwatering, but better safe than sorry.

Having went through something similar, I have to ask, is there a possibility you've introduced outdoor insects through shoes, clothes clones ect?

I would try to inspect the the roots & scope the rusted areas of the lower/middle foliage, at least to rule out watering/insect issues.

I don’t see how I got insects in there. My clones were all taken by me. I don’t wear shoes down there. I go bare feet. Clean.

Guess I’ll tone down the watering. Let it dry out. Add some calmag to up the mag in it. Hopefully that cures the issue.

I had to ask, did not know you were sealed up.
Good luck & hopefully its nothing crazy.

Yeah they are in tents in my basement.

I did a check in the leaves. I bugs at all. Just burnt looking leaves.

Did a sniff of the fabric pot near the bottom. Don’t really smell anything.

Actually. I did see some roots popping out. I brushed them off and they fell right off.

I think I’m gonna cool it on the watering and use some calmag later.

I thought a plant would be more thirsty in flower. Over veg. I also went from a MH to led for flower

Your problem almost definitely is your LED lights are too close to your plants. Do a google search of pics of leaves with LED lights too close and you'll see almost exactly what you are experiencing. LED is tricky since they don't get hot but I did an entire grow where I chased cal-mag, and overwatering, and this, and that... and in the end, after it was too late, it was that the LED lights were too close. The interwebs say to keep them 12" to 18" away during flower, and that is very dependent on brand etc, but I've found that mine need to be more like 24" plus away to not burn. I love LED, but there is still little known about it. Here is a pic of one plant from my last grow, look at the cola and the pic in the background... you can almost see the line where it burned at the top and is perfect at the bottom. I made a few ph and feeding mistakes on this plant, but almost all of the problem ended up being LED lights too close. Not pooh poohing what everyone else is saying as I'm not an expert, but investigate into light distance.

What are you talking about? That pic is not what light burn looks like at all. It looks like you merely have different colored tops because of a change in nutrient values or uptake because of PH flux or something. When plants do that its called "purple tops" it's pretty common. If it was light burn your shit would look "bleached" crispy, very light brown, and dead. 24" away for LEDs? If your plants were light burned, the color would be bleached crispy changing abruptly to normal, there's really no in between.

Yeah, he's got overwatered soggy bottom issues.

Don't water them anymore until they look better and the pot is light. 5-gallon thick soil grows are prone to this because the soil can't get rid of moisture.

Am I only over watering issue or is it mag too?

I know my pot dries quicker in the veg tent. But that’s because of the 400 watt MH I believe.

Plant did have a tad of light burn from the veg tent. Was growing on my Mh bulb. Got too big.

This plant ain’t dead is it? I have a few moron buddies claiming its dead and never gonna bounce back. Need to mention their experience is minimal to none.
