Interesting lighting question

So... my little cabinet isn't so tall. I was wondering if I could just (when it comes time for flowering) just leave the HPS standing vertically. Anyone ever tried this?

Anyone see any potential problems???
by standing vertically you mean????? Mounted or just laying there? Mounted is fine in any position you want vertically or horizontally.

Something is rubbing me wrong about your picture. I cant tell what it is, but make sure everything is kosher when you throw an HPS in there. House fires are bad.

Well its only a 150W HPS plus the fan is over a vent and sucks out all the hot air and if i want to i can just turn it around and blow cool air in. i already flowered for 3 weeks a couple months ago without problems, except the plants died of a Ph problem when i was gone for a few days.

if you are asking if you can run a HPS light vertical with no reflector yes you can..just watch your heat in that small of a grow space...
