HAHAHHAHA the walking on sunshine shit , fuck i remeber that episode clearly. i tend not to watch it because i was a drug addict and that show tends to make me wanna just get fucked up again
really sunni?? i'm also in recovery from, well, just about everything at one time or another, lol.. been clean 11 years come this may ... but when i watch it, it has the opposite effect on me and makes me wonder wtf i was ever thinking when i was using, plus, it makes me think of all of the damage i've done to the people in my life who cared about me and watched me go through all of the bs..
the only time it depresses me is the ends when they give you a quick update on the people after they go to rehab what happens to them.. i hate to see when they get out of rehab only to fall back on their faces, which is what ohdepresses me being that i've been to treatment like 11 or so times..
great show though for the most part.. and yah, that allison chic was off the hook ... i just like the show cuz it shows that addiction is not prejudiced in the least bit, and all walks of life can and do get addicted to drugs..

And diarrhea.

You know what kind of intervention that needs to be shown? One about people mixing prescription drugs and alcohol (aka Whitney Houston). It has been chapping my ass since I heard how she died that two of the highest causes of death is perfectly legal yet Cannabis (practically harmless) is considered so terribly dangerous. ARGH!!!!

Schedule 1? Seriously ?
i completey agree carne.. this is why my hopes of marijuana ever becoming legal on a federal level don't really amount to much imo.. if they still want to think or say that weed is worse for people than say coke or heroin, both of which are schedule two drugs, well, that's just insanity in my eyes, and don't look good for a prohibition free future either..

it seems the day i stopped using i started putting on weight, and it really sucks monkey nuts, lol.. i always say you can tell how good i'm doing in my recovery by how fat i am, lol..

I know some tweakers that watch that show and I'm always wondering if they have a clue they need to be on it

I wonder how many addicts that are ready to get help go on there just to go to a fancy treatment center for free.

Do they pay for them to go?

I'm not sure.
i'm sure that they get into treatment for free as part of being on the show, but as far as how many of them strictly go on the show for a free ride to rehab, i'd say probably none of them as they all seem to put up a huge fight when it's time to go...
i'm pretty sure most of them don't want to go to rehab when it all starts off, but sometimes after the intervention and they see what a huge mess their lives are, they decide to go last minute..
i've seen tons of people on the show not even end up going after they have the intervention, those are the ones that bum me out honestly.. there was this one alcoholic dude who ran out of the intervention, and refused to go.. they finally talked him into going last minute, and after i thnk like 80 days in rehab he died of throat cancer that he got from drinking so much.. it was a pretty fucked up episode and pretty emotional imo..

Yeah,
They tell them they are doing a drug documentary, not an "Intervention" show.
So they probably do it free after tricking them...

Sunni, Racer, I would hope that watching that show would make you want to be clean. I don't understand, but I wish the best for both of you. Be strong.

The really fooked part is they give them a $1,000 to blow on drugs while filiming the "documentary". I wonder if anyone has died of an OD while in the "documentary" stage. I'm thinking criminal charges.

You get paid for appearing on any reality show...like those judge shows they pay for you to fly out there and they give you a script to read they give you so much money per day and if you lose they pay whatever the amount is...you don't even have to pay to get your issue settled if you lose...One of my friends went on one of those over some property damage something with a cousin and there was a donkey involved...it was a goofy suit, thus why the show wanted them.
