Just tell us what cobs you got,how many, and how hard you want to run them and someone can suggest a driver or drivers to run them.
Cobkit has already given me some examples from his store, although 2 of the models are sold out and the HLG-120H-48 is on sale so I may go with that unless you can provide me with other brands/ model. It would be 400 watts from the wall, about 170 more than my current MarsLED but I would imagine that those 400 watts could compete with a 600HID or maybe even more.

the HLG-120H-48 says this though

I have (5) Citizen CLU048-1212C4-353H6K2 COB chips @3500k, my area is a 3x3, although I plan on perhaps adding more cobs to my lights if I decide to add more space, IE a 4x4.

But for these purposes I just want to run 5 COBs with 1 driver for now, like how Growmau5's does his (
), which I may just get the

http://en.hzzhpower.com/upLoad/product/month_1601/PF-P250CC-Cxxx-S(U)-XX.pdf since that is what he used to power his 5 cree chips but I think he uses cxb3590s. I can always come back for help with the addition of other cobs, so I'm more worried about getting this first builld completed first.

Ok idk where that 400w from the wall comes from but the meanwell drivers cobkits sells are very well priced.i would ask him to get you a meanwell hlg-240-1400b and wire in series like growmau5 shows in most vids.if im not mistaken those citi cobs are 36v so you will be @about 50w per cob for 250w.you will be surprised how bright 250w of cobs can be in a tent/small space like yours. And yeah, you can always add more cobs later when money is available :) 2 of those setups @250w would rock in a 4 x 4

Cobkits gave me these stats (2.1A= ~37.8V x 5 = 189V ->hlg480-c2100 is 229V) for the hlg480-c2100 so with 189v*2.1A I'd put out 396.4 watts. On cobkits.com it says this though for running 1212
[ 2 1212@ 54.5W each (109W max), 3@34.9W ea (105W max) , 4@ 25.6W ea (102W max), etc.] so I'm not sure what to make of that lol.

In either case, I'm totally down for that meanwell hlg-240-1400b

Im not sure the mw 480-2100 is even available yet and i.dont think its a good match for those 1212 cobs.now also consider i often refer to citi cobs as shitezens lol.no but really for that particular cob i would run @ 1400ma or less
If you want high power move to the 1818 cob and run them @ 60 to 80w each
The driver i suggested with your 1212 will be around 50w per cob which will give great light output and efficiency, best of both worlds really.but yeah,so many chips and driver combos now it gets really confusing

you are reading the specs from an entirely different driver (HLG120H-48A)

all 1825/3618 custom light engines should be out by tomorrow, then going to town on the cxm22 passive assemblies which should go quickly, hope to ship most if not all cxm22 assy's on saturday

also some shipping adjustments havent been done yet, i want to get these orders out first as going thru those orders one by one is somewhat time consuming, i want to give it the care it deserves :)

it beats the cxb across the board in efficiency

its a 50V chip so if you want to run it at 50W use 1050 where you would use 1400 with a 36V chip

the 3000k 80cris were a hit, im almost out so i just ordered 3500k and 3000k in both 80 and 90

hope to have the other colors by early feb.
seems logical the the king of the hill would get complacent, and/or competitors would up the ante.
Just as likel they have new CoBs in the wings.

Do you have any independent data to prove that it beats the cxb across the board? And if no spec data, then in what ways?
