Hey CobKits, any news on the new Citizens?
What about the Luminus Restock?
What about the Luminus Restock?
Better start posting that Gen 6 Citi specs/data! so excited haha XDgot the first gen 6 today
luminus will be a little while, not shipping till 2/28
Just tell us what cobs you got,how many, and how hard you want to run them and someone can suggest a driver or drivers to run them.I keep finding HLG series drivers with an output of 12V, that does not seem right...
Anyway, my cobs were shipped today. YAY!
Cobkit has already given me some examples from his store, although 2 of the models are sold out and the HLG-120H-48 is on sale so I may go with that unless you can provide me with other brands/ model. It would be 400 watts from the wall, about 170 more than my current MarsLED but I would imagine that those 400 watts could compete with a 600HID or maybe even more.Just tell us what cobs you got,how many, and how hard you want to run them and someone can suggest a driver or drivers to run them.
Cobkits gave me these stats (2.1A= ~37.8V x 5 = 189V ->hlg480-c2100 is 229V) for the hlg480-c2100 so with 189v*2.1A I'd put out 396.4 watts. On cobkits.com it says this though for running 1212Ok idk where that 400w from the wall comes from but the meanwell drivers cobkits sells are very well priced.i would ask him to get you a meanwell hlg-240-1400b and wire in series like growmau5 shows in most vids.if im not mistaken those citi cobs are 36v so you will be @about 50w per cob for 250w.you will be surprised how bright 250w of cobs can be in a tent/small space like yours. And yeah, you can always add more cobs later when money is available 2 of those setups @250w would rock in a 4 x 4
Thanks, I'll go with the meanwell hlg-240-1400b, Cobkit do you have any in stock that I could purchase?Im not sure the mw 480-2100 is even available yet and i.dont think its a good match for those 1212 cobs.now also consider i often refer to citi cobs as shitezens lol.no but really for that particular cob i would run @ 1400ma or less
If you want high power move to the 1818 cob and run them @ 60 to 80w each
The driver i suggested with your 1212 will be around 50w per cob which will give great light output and efficiency, best of both worlds really.but yeah,so many chips and driver combos now it gets really confusing
you are reading the specs from an entirely different driver (HLG120H-48A)Hey COBkit
Cobkits gave me these stats (2.1A= ~37.8V x 5 = 189V ->hlg480-c2100 is 229V) for the hlg480-c2100 so with 189v*2.1A I'd put out 396.4 watts. On cobkits.com it says this though for running 1212
[ 2 1212@ 54.5W each (109W max), 3@34.9W ea (105W max) , 4@ 25.6W ea (102W max), etc.] so I'm not sure what to make of that lol.
out of 240-1400 right now i have 320s thoThanks, I'll go with the meanwell hlg-240-1400b, Cobkit do you have any in stock that I could purchase?
I think I'll wait for the 240's if you are restocking. Are you based in the USA or EU Cobby?out of 240-1400 right now i have 320s tho
seems logical the the king of the hill would get complacent, and/or competitors would up the ante.it beats the cxb across the board in efficiency
its a 50V chip so if you want to run it at 50W use 1050 where you would use 1400 with a 36V chip
the 3000k 80cris were a hit, im almost out so i just ordered 3500k and 3000k in both 80 and 90
hope to have the other colors by early feb.
sure ive posted it numerous times, i didnt just make that upDo you have any independent data to prove that it beats the cxb across the board?
Lighten up. Not suggesting you didsure ive posted it numerous times, i didnt just make that up
