Question for you Cob,
First off I am a total noob to COB LEDs. So any input would be much appreciated. So far i have ordered 4 of the 48 -1212 with holders and reflectors, and 2 of the HLG185H-48A.. I have the passive heatsinks worked out already. My first light will consist of one driver and the 4 - 1212s. My second light will consist of the other 185-48A driver and 4 of the 48-1818s. My question is related to the driver out put when using the different COBS.
At running 4 of the 1212 why will i only be using 152W @ 38Ws PER cob?, Compared to 4 of the 1818 same driver but now at 220w @ 55Ws per cob? With the little i know i see no benefits of using the 1212s and this Driver for future builds, beside the 13 dollar savings per cob.. Also i am trying to figure out the math on the output of this driver as it relates to each Cob in milliamps. Driver output 48v @ 3.9 amps so how do i find out the milliamps per COB?
Cheers,
