WA adopted emergency rules, regulating how, when, and what with, but didn't ban hydrocarbon extractions.
It says that you must have a permit to do so, and to get the permit you must follow the rules, which regulates what zone class structures can be used, and what safety measures must be incorporated.
No open blasting and the ventilation has to be high enough to keep any releases below 25% of LEL, which for a class 1 solvent like butane, is about 100 cfm per square foot of face area.
