ir from my cobs

i moved to cobs because everyone said about less heat which is correct, but my cxb3590 3000k 90cri actually give off a fair amount of ir to the point that my thermometer in my pot is reading a few degrees above ambient at about 30 inchs, leaves curling and I only have them at 100w per 3 cob bar.

anyone else found this? getting upto 32 in my tent with 200w spread over 6 cobs

Put the thermometer out of direct light. Raise the light a couple of inch.
I have only seen it on one leaf on my last run running clu 058s 3500k 90 cri. But I run them bare so not as intense.
But I have my cobs about 8" away from colas. The one leaf was right under a cob. Mine are running at 41w per square foot.
I imagine the IR is higher on the 3000k 90 cri.

What space are you covering with that 200w?

1 bar of 36v cobs @1400 and 2 bars of 72v @700. but all dimmed to 100w a piece and only running 2 bars at about 30 inchs.
these are plants in veg.
also I have reflector holders on them as I have angelinas but removed the reflectors to lower the intensity abit, should I remove the holders when running bare cobs as they still have an angle to them.

and the thermometer is in the pot for now then will go at canopy height, I aim for 25* at conopy normally even when I had the hps. surely I should measure what the plants are receiving rather than the temperature where there are no plants? I don't know that's why iask that so not to sound like I'm being a dick lol

thanks guys
