Is 1 inch too deep?

Hey I'm new to the forums, just been checking it out, I was wondering if the seed will still grow if planted about 1 inch to 1 1/4 inch deep? (Seed has already been germinated) Thanks for the help.

Yeh it'll still grow just take a bit longer to sprout. Might be worth trying to dig away some of the soil at the top but dont push down on at it all. I mean if yu can dig say half an inch off the top using a spoon or a knife so your not compressing the soil then in my opinion it'd be fine :)

But yeh, Either leave it and hope they will which they should, or dig a little bit down from the top of the soil / or cut a layer off the rock wool (not sure what medium your using)

Hope it helps

Yep, a bit deep. You should bury the germinated seed with the tap root down at a depth of 1/4 to 1/2 inches deep. Although this is the rule, the seed should break ground, but will take a bit more time.
