I was wandering if i could run a germination, clone and veg rotation under two 4 ft 60 watt apiece lighting systems..

full spectrum flourescent tubes

Is this enough light to work and also, hold a couple of mother plants?

thanx

sounds like enough light for germinating/cloning but if you want a strong mother plant with healthy branches you need more light

Honestly, NO. It might work, but I wouldn't be happy with the results. I dunno how many plants you want to Veg, clone and mother, but if it's even the basic setup, it's barely enough.

I know someone who keeps the moms under (1) 4' 8 bulb T5 fixture, clones and Vegs under (1) 4' 8 bulb T5 fixture, then flowers in another cabinet with a 400w HPS. Works just fine for personal use. Smoked their goodies many times, and never a complaint.

With that small ammount of light, you'll really have to concentrate on having mylar everywhere. Night part about the T5's is that you can have them basically sitting on the plants. Seems to keep the node spacing shorter.

Ok can I get in on this,
I'm using T8 32wx4

My clones are 20" from the light because of the taller mother. Will my clones stretch?

yes, vegging under floros is doable, but slow, keep the tops licking the bulb and 1-2 plants should get bushy under 120w... or mine seem to. or maybe not everyone likes waiting a month or more to veg a plant

I'm using twice as many T12 tubes plus 2 small filler lights, and I did the whole thing from seed to flower under them. I had 7 plants (5 left) and they are late in flowering and looking good. Plenty for me and some friends with plenty left over. The key is to keep them as close to the plants as possible with plenty of reflective material all around.
It keeps my electricity bill low, the room cool (80-85) and if you use a pulley system or whatever to keep them RIGHT above the plants, it wiil work fine.

Click my name and check my albums to see what I got from this grow.

That's exactly the setup I was going for in the veg..2 four foot t8 flourecent with 4 32 watt full spectrum tubes..I found them for real cheap..I could always add a few 60 watt cfls in the mix if need be..

What are you doing with your setup?

If you mean what am I going to do next, it'll be a scrog grow. The space is perfect for it, and I'll probably add 2 more sets for a total of 12 tubes, and the filler lights. I won't go to MH or HPS because of what I am growing in and what it's next to.
It's a wood closet next to an oil furnace, and tank. There isn't much room for duct work, larger exhaust fan(s), ballast, etc.
I can regulate heat easier, it's cheap, and I get what I want from it plus plenty more.

Has long has the tubes are daylight spec 1 cool and 1 warm.I would get two more and have the cool ones at the tops of the plants and the warm at the sides.

Clones root better (IMO) farther from the light (up to 2') . . . they won't stretch until they root.
