Is 400w Cfl Enough! ((PICS))

Metasynth is spot on, your stretching them because of lack of light and this will really show when it comes to flowering. The more you can give them while still controlling your temps the better. The more you put = the more you get out. Try side lighting, and maybe get some good reflective lining for your space to make the most of what you've got.

A lot of folks I know won't grow under less than 200w of actual light per plant (not equivalent as has been explained to you) as its frustrating to see buds be small and loose on the stalk.

But don't worry - its all practice, and we have all been at the stage when we haven't got quite got enough equipment. In fact i don't think it ever stops! Its better to learn why everything is important in stages than to buy shit loads of top quality equipment and not have a clue what your doing with it!!!

For what you've got running, you should be proud!
THanks Everyone for the info.. im gonna get better lights i was goin bye the wrong info i thought it was enough nut had doubts so i posted this and now iknw for sure i need better lights i think im gonna get a hps just to make things easy i dont want a bunch of cfls hanging everywhere constantly moving them blah blah..

Well, we're here to help. Don't get me wrong, you have plants to be proud of for a first timer grower. If you're gonna continue to grow with cfl's, you should look into LST(low stress training), which is basically the act of bending the main stem/s over horizontally, and getting the plants to grow wide, instead of tall...That is how I got a relatively even canopy in that video, where all the tops are basically at the same level. That way, you don't have ton worry as much with the side lighting, though I still had some bulbs on the outsides of those plants. You can tie plants down with string to stakes in the soil, or around the rim of the pots. I tied mine to the the rim of the pots, starting in early veg once it was beyond the seedling stage.

Happy growing!
