Hey guys, is a fan absolutely necessary to grow mj? Could you list me the pros and cons of having and not having a fan?

You'll want a fan to circulate the air, a small investment in your grow room that makes a big difference. You'll run into heat issues otherwise. Even with the led set up I have now I still keep a small circular fan running. The idea is to mimic outdoor conditions.

you do NOT have to have a inline fan at all unless using a 1000 watter or more, i used a 600 in a small closet with only 2 small house fans and it worked wonders and saved much money

fans circulate all that oxygen enriched air, help build healthy, sturdy stems and no u don't HAVE to have one initially but you'll end up with a weak plant that will not be able to hold up heavy buds later on. get a cheap one from uh..anywhere...a thrift store...lowes...goodwill...an old pc...

Fans help getting rid of CO2 deficiencies around the leaves of the plants.
From what I've read, plants deplete the CO2 around the leaves fairly quickly.

.........in nature, wind is natures' fan....when we grow indoors we are trying to recreate those same conditions created by mother nature........so yes you need a fan and why would you even try to skip such a minor and inexpensive detail??

No you do not. You need airflow around the plant but not a fan blowing on it. I have a inline extraction fan with filter and it makes plenty of airflow without a fan blowing on the plants. If the plant is in a fairly big area and you do not need to filter the air, you can get away with nothing. Open the windows.

blowing on the plant will cause it to thicken the stem and branches it will help support larger buds its a good thing to do
