Is anyone here in a Stoner Relationship?

My woman and I have been friends since puberty and lovers since high school. A lot of ups and downs since then. We are recluses because of my criminal activities but it does not seem to bother her.

She does not partake and rarely drinks alcohol. She only has a problem with weed if I smoke roaches and kiss her afterward. She smoked occasionally during high school but the effect of weed scares her.

I smoke most days and the lady smokes most days that she doesn't work, but I wouldn't call us stoners. We're 40+, childless by choice and 16 years of non-marital bliss into it. The home's clean, the bills paid. I had a 15 year career that i bailed on and now just get by financially but keep the freezer full of salmon, moose, tomatoes, berries etc. I cook most meals and keep the pad dialed too. She works in health care an makes pretty good $, without working lots of hours so we get lots of rec time together.

We also smoke lots of herbs together. Many of my friends consider us stoners based on quantity/frequency, but not behavior, since we're prone to running up and down mountains/skiing/biking when we smoke, and have the time.
So stoner seems like a shitty term, really we really just high. bongsmilie

Am I suppose to give you dates and times or something?

And cannabis is still illegal here, its criminal to possess, sell, and grow without a medical card. Which makes me a criminal.
Oh he was talking to YOU?

Its next to impossible for me to follow conversations in threads I'm not an active part of at the time.

Too many ignored people. It does make it a little annoying, but that just means I can only talk in the now. Not in the PAST.

But hopefully one day IN THE FUTURE...or back to the...

Don't think so @ArcticOrange lol but as a fairly reclusive Alaskan I'd definitely be down to talk grow more IN PERSON, I don't get to do it enough! But a laundro in ANC? Seward? Don't remember that...

Really tho man my experience is that I'm not a rarity. There's lots of nurses who are partnered up with dudes who once had a thing going on but now are like cabin boys/house husbands, the ladies are cool with it they get what they want but it does seem to be a change o the times. There was a time I earned the dough, helped put her through RN school, the mortgage, etc. Now she's making bank and I work PT in shitty retail. We don't keep track of dollars but are close enough to balanced, or not care.

But anyway the story to support my idea that I'm a dime/dozen, and we probably didn't meet. A couple months back my lady walked up to the nurses station to hear 3 others lightly bitching about their scene, basically that they were making pretty good $ as ICU RNs at night while their dudes... "looked" for jobs. Lol. When my lady arrived with another nurse they asked them, sure enough both had the same deal going on! She was happy to fill me in on that one, 6 of 6 nurses making bank while their dudes, um, did uh ???...

I'd say you got it pretty good! Wife works, health care is free, you get the run of the house, play all day and hunt anytime. Sounds like what the Indian said he had.

I keep meeting guys that don't smoke weed. All used to, but then something changed and they "cant" smoke it anymore.

I'm still on Tinder. Only met the 2 guys in 3 months. I just chat mainly.

I'm having a hard time finding a guy that I want to meet up with that smokes the pot. Guy #1 or guy #2 I ended up talking to for a really long time in the internet dating world, before meeting. And it didn't come up about the weed, until really the meeting time.

Others I have talked to but not met, are funny, and nice, but A LOT don't smoke weed. And it's prevented me from meeting them. Because I like smoking a joint before sex. And at the end of the day, and on a dog walk.

I just like weed a lot. And I really think I need to be with someone that feels the same.

I could NEVER be with someone that doesn't like weed. My old roommate told me before I moved out that he didn't believe in medical marijuana. I almost punched him in the dick, the self-righteous cunt.

Sorry, it was a bad roommate break up. First of it's kind.

But anywho - I don't wan't to discriminate. But I wanna date someone that likes the pot. Not a 20 something sit on the couch and smoke weed 24/7. I don't know any weed smokers like that anymore.

Just someone that will think it's cool that between sexy sessions I take rips from the bong. I don't think it's a lot to ask.

Easier said than done though...people be uptight!

stupid evolution..
always getting it wrong, i just know people and society would be better off if everyones brains produced more of these chems (for ease) like 12 pathways or more...

also i dont believe in medical marijuana. maybe, maybe medical cannabis but not in a professional setting, ie theres no medical poppy or opium(hash) being distributed in hospitals for pain... for good reason actually, production aside. and the same goes for cannabis, though cannabis is many times more difficult to use as medicine given bi and triphasic properties and tolerance etc
mj is just idiotic and somehow a disgrace to medicine.

but sure it has its place every now and again. like any drug, but long term eh... i try not to do that with any medication but sure its necessary in cases. most recreational "stoners" ,i could care less about lifestyle im talking about the brain. but if active outdoors or work full time i doubt your actually a stoner, smoking in morning and at night hardly qualifies. stoners smoking multiple times throughout the day maintaining these levels in the brain daily. but in both cases the result is te same... using it to make life less...dull or to relax whatever..
making dog walks fun, or sex more enjoyable.. when you break it down theres a real problem there.

i smoked a qp a week for the longest...did just fine, thats not what im saying. but as ive grown mentally i cant do that anymore, and thats not a jab just where my brain is atm

to be clear, im only slightly trolling.

Agree to disagree buddy.

Without medical marijuana, I feel like I could have died. I could not eat after I had a bad reaction from my SSRI's. And during the 1 month ween, and the 1 month previous, I threw up and couldn't eat.

I threw up every single day. Unless I smoked weed. I couldn't sleep, unless I ate a weed cookie. And I could not have worked full time in the ring of fire and functioned without MJ.

I could have just been sick. I could have laid in a bed, and puked for 2 months, and waited for the pharma drug that poisoned me to get out of my system.

But I didn't. And in the summer of 2014 I got a weed prescription in Canada. And everything has been lovely since.

So yeah, I don't agree with you. But that's ok.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and it's ok that yours is different than mine.

Happy monday!

yea, i know my issue with it may be dumb. we can definitely agree on that
but thats the only medicine where using a slang term is not only accepted but widely used even by govt officials doctors etc
It just needs time to change.

It really difficult still in Canada to get a strait answer. And on a government website they spell it both ways. It's very unprofessional looking, and confusing.

Doctors here, the majority of them, don't prescribe it. They are afraid. Because they don't know enough about it. And because a lot of their training in meds has been done by big pharma and they don't seem super on board with the plant based medical MJ

They like THC, synthetically. But they don't want us to be able to make it ourselves.

Its crazy. But here, soon, things will change. I hope they do where you are too!
