I am on my second grow, my 1st grow I used a 400w, now I have a 600w quantum with a digilux mh, now I'm 2 days into flower with my digilux hps, my cousin said that they was worth the money, sheww 70$ a bulb, basically I was wanting some input, will my hps bulb be enough for 4 plants in a 4x4 tent, trying to improve each time,

Yes, that is enough for a 4x4. Switch back to mh for the last couple weeks of flower.
I've heard mh is also good for the first 2 weeks flower, which I've already switched to my hps, the last couple weeks mh would help with tricome z , right?

T5 is better for a 4x4 space ...more efficient
Later on I plan on getting a t5 for vegging and clones, I see alot of people using t5 all the way through veg and have a good hps, why don't they use t5 and then veg a little with mh

For one thing I'm asking because I'm new, I'm on my 2nd grow, I already bought the bulb, it came in a few days ago, my cousin and a few others was saying it was awsome and it was made for digital ballast and the have had great results, just wondering how many of yall use this brand and results you get compared to using different types, it is costly, lol, luckily I made some overtime at work,

Mh is good for the first two weeks of flower with stretchy genetics/pheno's. It keeps the plant short when it tries to stretch the most.
If you properly veg with mh, the plants can go straight into flower with an hps, no need to harden them off because they were already under high intensity.

I think i been doing great with mh, vigorous growth, I vegged for about month 1\2 or little more, I would I've flowered earlier but I had a delay basically getting my hps bulb, I've seen mixed reviews on digilux but idc for now I'm still learning everday and I love doing it , thanks for the quick reply and your input

NO
Niether is the HORT!

None of the high priced bulbs are WORTH what you pay for them!

Simply buy as cheap a bulb as you can find. They work the same for FAR, FAR less money...

Check out Plantmax at www.1000bulbs.com

Why would I spend 25$ on a plantmaxx when I can get a 750 hr used hortilux for 20$?

Maybe this is supply and demand vs personal feelings.

I have right now 5 different brands of 1000 HPS including PMax and cheapest quality is not always good. Sometimes cheap costs more. So your bulb is high priced as far as Im concerned.

BECAUSE it will work better and longer then your "used" crap! :wall:

How do you KNOW it's only 750 hrs?
USED is STUPID! PERIOD! Talk about inefficient spending! :spew:

After over 40 years of doing this. Trying about every light bulb out there......You learn rather quickly that the price to actual result....say's to buy cheap and run! The difference in "name brand" vs simple AG bulbs for greenhouse use.....Save's YOU MONEY!
The difference in results (yields) is statistically "the same" !! (In all the testing I've done myself) :o

Now go spend $80 or more dollars to do the same I do with $25!

I hear AN nutrients are made for marijuana and grow the best out there!
Use those too?

BTW, I buy and use bulbs by the case! :finger:

At that price you can put a fresh one in every cycle.
Sell the old one on eBay, put triple the yields in description sell in minutes!
