Thx for the link. It says that "Freezing it is going to preserve the essence of the live plant and that profile is ultimately going to carry through to your extract. Hence the name live resin. and "Freeze your biomass for no longer than 24-36 hours."

Still not understand why it is better than fresh (not frozen, direct in water after harvest) material ... as you said let's test :)

Maybe a clue here:

At about 25 sec the guy says about freezing: "We do this to lock up any of fats or lipid any of the unwanted material"

that's for live resin tho... they don't use cold water to extract the heads
