Seems like a dumb question but I'm not finding an answer by googling. Opinion, fact... Whatever someone can tell me. Thanks!

There is never a dumb question, thats how we learn. Yes, It accelerates the entire grow process.

Aero (fine mist) = tiny fine hairs on the roots = more surface area = faster rate of nutrient absorbtion = faster rate of growth

The most ive got from 1 plant in aero is 4 ounces, yes 112grams dry. most ive got soil was 1.5 ounces. In flower a aero plant can end up being 4 feet tall and hard to manage, in soil the streatch is much less but so isnt the yield.

I love aero, its way better than soil. I dont understand why people say its harder than soil to grow? I think its easyer and a hell of alot cleaner. My plants have grown like monsters, I'm afraid that i veged too long as they are over 3 feet now and I just flipped them to 12/12! The baces are like 1.5 inches in diameter!
