is it a crime to try to bribe a cop who caught you toking?

i know im probably going to get flamed for asking this, but im curious. if a cop caught me smoking bud, and i offer to give him $50 or something if he keeps his mouth shut, and he says no, will i face additional charges?

Yes. Bribing any officer is a federal offense I am pretty sure. If not it's at least some kind of felony. You're better off being honest or being more sneaky about your shit. Don't be dumb and you'll never be in the situation to have to bribe an officer.

really just depends on the cop. but being in usa more then likely you'll get charged. in a 3rd world country less likely.

Fuck that. If you American and do ANYTHING wrong that is worth getting you locked up for....you ain't bribing you're way out of a 3rd world prison. Mine as well consider yourself dead. :D Cause they are looking for a reason to make an example out of you.

lol you probably right. in america anyways you'll have to come off a lot more the 50 dollars anyway. but trust me if you in the phillippines you can bribe your way out of shit. my dad married one and ive heard some stories.

yea not by a whole lot tho. when my dad retires hes movin there and he'll be pullin more then the prez on retirement. shit he gonna have it made, have like 2 or 3 servants and some kind of banana/mango/rice farm. bastard.

BS dude. that may be true but the individual officer is more interested in your money then "Making an example" back when I took a trip to mexico I was arrested. I asked if there was a way I could pay my fine immediately and got out of a mexican jail for $100 american.

That probably wouldn't work in the states, but with the way the question is phrased they can't get you for bribery.
